Good start by the boys,

can anyone tell me how to work out the lettering on the polish updates? What does each letter mean eg (3,d)

With 1 heat to go Poland have secured the victory.

Congratulations to the Poles but with the scores so close a huge well done to the British lads.

The future of British speedway really does look good if you weigh them up against the Poles.

Not so depresing as we may think

Well done again Brits - hope you feel proud of your acheivement :D

Team GB have the U-18's British Champion on the sidelines, Daniel King is obviously struggling with his bikes and James Wright isnt exactly pulling up trees !

Why oh Why wasnt Tai tried out here ?

Good effort by the team to lose by just 4 points in Poland, but it will be interesting to see why we didn't use a quality rider when he is there.

Well they wouldn't have known Danny was going to have an engine failure, so they couldn't legislate for that. Tai wasn't part of the main team so couldn't be used unless one of the others pulled out injured, which they didn't. And he just wasn't picked for the main team. I imagine James was included this time because it'll be his last U21 tournament. Tai will no doubt get the nod next year, providing he keeps his nationality. But you can't say Tai would have scored any better anyway.

From the results it looks like a good effort from team GB who led for most of the way, but in the end the Poles just nicked it.

Here here. Its always easy to be wise after the event!

Looks as though our captain and "no.1" let the team down in Germany. Very poor.

Shame Oakes didn't tell Wright or King to feign an injury to get Tai in.

Just for the record Tai wasnt in Germany today. Well unless he jumped over to Scunthorpe in the Interval when he was having a go on the training track.

Was at the meeting today, meeting was won and lost on a chain snapping on Danny Kings bike. The boys all rode really well today and no one would have done any better.

Good performance by the Brits to get so close to the Poles and refreshing to see Kennett piling up the points on a continental track.

Would be interesting to know the story behind Tai's non selection, did Uncle Len say NO!

Slightly ironic if Len is failing to support the British Under 21 team again, given how keen he is to have Hoddesdon used for Under 21 meetings.

Good performance by the young Brits to get close to the Poles.

How come the Swedes, Russians or Aussies were not in this. Wouldn't Holder and Batchelor cleaned up the Poles?

GB and Czech knocked out Sweden in Hungary and Poland knocked out Aus and Russia in Poland.

Seems Danny performs much better when Micheal Lee is there, for example British Final and Play Off semi, unfortunately he was at Mildenhall today not at the final.

OK - Seems it was Josh Auty at reserve and not Tai. Weird choice really considering his Conference and U-18 Titles.

However, King started with a win, then after an engine failure he struggled with his bikes as he only beat the German tail enders.

James Wright was much the same, picking his points off the non scoring riders only.

Poland showed them how to do it in this years WTC when Walasek suddenly had a foot injury that lasted until the presentation when he was dancing around like John Travolta.

Team GB were obviously dropping points from these two, so it should have been decided which one was more injured than the other to allow Josh to come in.

The end of the day, good showing by all, but sadly a few points shy in the end.

2009 Tai, Josh, Lewis, King (?), Haines.
