Most enjoyable evenings racing. How great it was to see the riders looking for their team mates, slowing races etc. Shows that a meeting need not be full throttle holding on to a guided missile to be entertaining.

cant understand why the HOME pair didnt win the meeting, maybe next year they should hold it on a neutral track, just to make sure the HOME team dont make progress into the final.

Teriffic meeting, any of the 4 semi-finalists would have been deserved winners. Great bit of team riding by Holder who seemed to spend the majority of the meeting playing Buckaroo, albeit v.entertaining.

 

If this is to be the last season (highly likely) then a fantastic send off for a historic club has been achieved, blimey, no more speedway!

Good meeting that one, am a bit gutted the Bees couldn't hold onto their lead in the semi but Andersen did a brilliant team riding job, as did Holder in the final, so well done Poole!

 

Also, how nice it was to see that the stadium looked packed in front of the sky cameras, as other people have mentioned, any newcomers who may have been watching would see a big crowd like that and think they were missing out on something and then want to go along and see it for themselves.

Congrats to Poole, Andersen doing the bulk of the scoring to see them through to the final, then Holder coming good in the final to help Andersen through, great teamwork.

 

Hard luck on the Eagles, would have been nice to see them win some silverware despite their recent troubles. Hope your future's sorted out soon & you're still racing next season.

Decent meeting, some good racing and it'd have been a brave man to call the result from the 4 teams in the semis.

Just watched it now on SkyPlus due to being at a wedding all day. Didn't have a clue of the result so it was a real nailbiter.

 

So Pirates win one of the major trophies this year after all. I must say I didn't think we would do it early on with Holder struggling on a tricky track but cream always rises to the top and Poole rightly deserved the title in a truly dramatic final.

 

Commiserations to Eastbourne who battled hard all night. Really they should have won it after gating, but Holder had other ideas and once he had worked out the track helped Hans t get that vtal third.

Thoroughly enjoyable to watch and some good passing which I have rarely seen at Eastbourne on TV or when I have been there.....................

 

Any one of the top 4 deserved to win it but I am pleased that Poole did.................

just watched it and thoughrly? enjoyed it.well done poole unlucky eastbourne.another lesson for lewis but it will do him good in the end. unlucky freddie and pk. what are the chances of bringing back the world pairs now!!

At last something to cheer about - there hasn't been much this season!

 

Well done to Hans and Chris, bad luck to Davey and Lewis, but second place is not so bad,

in view of the line-up.

It was a great meeting and good for TV.

 

Hope Eastbourne are still with us next season.
