Fixer2 28 Posted August 22, 2010 (edited) What are the chances of it being televised on Wednesday...fingers crossed!! (sorry.....great minds eh) Edited August 22, 2010 by Fixer2
Steve Shovlar 10,451 Posted August 22, 2010 Where? Poole or Torun? Should be fun watching this sort itself out. Alan. For the two Polish clubs I would think. Poole have a fixture on Wednesday night.
Fixer2 28 Posted August 22, 2010 We have only a challenge match at Poole on Wednesday...so my money is on Torun...better news is TVP have no live events scheduled for Wednesday, so hopefully they will cover it.
HBKPCNBob 5 Posted August 22, 2010 For the two Polish clubs I would think. Poole have a fixture on Wednesday night. As the meeting at Poole on Wed night is simply a friendly against Team Australia, the likelihood is this Polish meeting will come ahead in the priorties list for the riders. Now lets hope for rain on Wed.
ladyluck 1 Posted August 22, 2010 For the two Polish clubs I would think. Poole have a fixture on Wednesday night. As did Swindon and Eastbourne last Thursday. Why would Torun agree to Wednesday in the knowledge they'd be missing Holder? Roman Krzysztof Karkosik has VERY deep pockets.
bluejam 846 Posted August 22, 2010 Any ideas who'll be riding who on September 5th in the play offs(obviously one result to be confirmed after the rain off)?Thinking of going over to Poland for one of the semi-finals on that weekend.

Completely forgot about that World U21 Team Cup at Rye House. There is an empty weekend on 12th Sept in Poland with no teams scheduled to ride.Maybe, just maybe, the outstanding fixtures would be on that weekend. Fixer2 28 Posted August 22, 2010 As we thought Matt has just confirmed the cancellation of Wednesday's challenge at Poole, however...as a mark of appreciation Torun have offered to start the 2011 season at Poole with a challenge match Poole V Torun. Nice gesture
ladyluck 1 Posted August 22, 2010 Yes, very good of Torun. The only problem is what sort of team would they send? After all, one would imagine that Chris Holder and Darcy Ward would figure in Poole's plans for 2011. If they are in Torun's plans it could turn out to be a rather weak Torun team that comes to Wimborne Road.

Gotta remember that the owner of Torun has already sent out a warning that unless they win against Wroclaw he will be reconsidering the contract of every rider in the team for 2011... So, there is no guarantee that Holder and Ward will be in the Torun team next year
Mateusz 0 Posted August 23, 2010 Ward's already said it's very unlikely he will be racing for Torun next year. Guess he doesn't enjoy being suspended from time to time Any ideas who'll be riding who on September 5th in the play offs(obviously one result to be confirmed after the rain off)?Thinking of going over to Poland for one of the semi-finals on that weekend. You won't know until Wednesday evening. As for the U-21 Team World Cup - don't know about the other teams but Bydgoszcz are racing against Czestochowa in the race-off. Cz-wa will be missing Woffinden and Bridger.
