lucifer sam 3,953 Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) There's six key meetings to fit in the next two weeks: NL Play-off Final: Newport v Buxton - date TBA Buxton v Newport - Sunday, October 31 (date from Buxton official website) NL KOC Final: Buxton v KL - Sunday, October 24 KL v Buxton - Wednesday, October 27 (both dates from BSPA website) NLRC - date & venue TBA NL Fours Final - date & venue TBA Any ideas when the three other fixtures will be arranged? Is there anywhere which could stage the NLRC on maybe Saturday, October 30? It's a bit unsatisfactory that so many important meetings have been left so late in the season. All the best Rob Edited October 18, 2010 by lucifer sam

All the best Rob Hmm, well apparently the word coming out from RH was that the Fours/NLRC would happen on Sunday 31st. - this would clash with the Play Off Final at Buxton again according to THEIR website.. That would mean no Buxton in the 4s (er, making it the '3's!!) and no riders from two of the three top sides in the division in the NLRC!! Inspired!! As you say, the 'solution' is have it on the Saturday but we've all long given up on there being sensible solutions... After all, there was NOTHING at all stopping the 4s/NLRC being last Saturday but it still didn't happen...!!

P T Preece 262 Posted October 18, 2010 They should set these dates in stone, give then a time and day they are supposed to be on and then you wouldent have theses problems. Ive known Rye have saturday and sunday meeting in the same weekend so whats the problem. Im hoping the newport, vs Buxton meeting is this friday coming as I have the day off and really want to see this meeting, not a supporter of either team, just want to see the end of the season out by watching as much speedway as I can. petes 4 Posted October 19, 2010 (edited) According to the Bournemouth Buccs website, the fours is not now going to happen, even though they originally had been told that it would be on 31 October. They are also trying to find out why there is no Bournemouth representative in the NLRC press announcement. Edited October 19, 2010 by petes

21st century heathen 220 Posted October 21, 2010 Looking at the fixtures for the last few days of the season everyone at BSPA Towers must be praying for a dry end to the month. They haven't left themselves much/any wriggle room if there's any wet weather 28th(ish)-31st.

Can someone explain to me why they continue to try and get the NLRC and the fours on at a place whos season isnt over yet, most track are finished and im sure there is one that could host these events? You have to assume a certain level of common sense among those that have signally failed to demonstrate any to date. I rest my case m'lud.
