crescent girl 1,907 Posted June 14, 2012 Promotion have been working at Shielfield all week, both on track and in polishing up an already-smart stadium. Extra turnstiles will be opened on back straight to help get folk in. Coaches will be parked in special auxilliary area behind stadium, not to be taken into main car-park. Huge buzz in area about the meeting now, especially since good piece broadcast on Look North (BBC1) last night at 6.30, with great shots of stadium yesterday, plus bright interview stuff. All we need is the weather to hold up for three short hours on Saturday evening!

That minibus of people coming up will be thankful they can park the bus and that there will be no queues as they fight the 700 other people to get in! crescent girl 1,907 Posted June 15, 2012 BSPA website reports covers have been laid on bends to deflect rainfall onto grass. Even their sternest critics will have to praise the promotion for what is being done at Shielfield Park to stage this meeting.
ricca 12 Posted June 15, 2012 putting covers on the bends is a great idea, but with the weather forcast for rain it might put a lot of fans off going to this meeting which would be a great shame after all the hard work that has been put in by the promotion to get this meeting lets hope the weather is not too bad and the fans turn up in great numbers and show their support to the berwick promotion

Even their sternest critics will have to praise the promotion for what is being done at Shielfield Park to stage this meeting. No doubt about that, the promotion are doing all they can to get this meeting on,I hope their hard work will be rewarded. I have just got to the hotel here in Berwick for the weekend and the Quali. Weather not good at the moment, windy rain and river looks close to bursting its banks! Roll on tomorrow and fingers crossed with the weather. Welcome to Berwick. Sadly the forecast for tomorrow is none to clever, the rain we have had all day today will continue through the night.Tomorrow morning will be dull with rain, heavy at times, tomorrow afternoon will be dull with the rain not quite as heavy. The track has been covered which might just save the day,but it would be a gamble to start a meeting where theres no guarantee that it would finish, especially when your asking fans to pay extra.
