Polish Extraleague Rnd 1 Easter Monday-tv Matches

Recommended Posts

is Zabik riding for Torun?

I couldn't quite work out from the translation whether he was or not.

It seemed to suggest that he maybe wasn't going to race...Either that or the fans shouldn't expect anything from him, as he is basically starting his career over again after so many years of injuries.

Online translations don't always work well though. After all, the Torun site's message for today was translated by Google to "Merry Christmas" :o

Google sometimes translates things wrong Wesolych Swiat means Happy Hollidays in this case Happy Easter , temperatures for tommorow in Gorzow and Bydgoszcz are fairly low only around 6-8 C

Going to watch the first match also

Team Buckowski!

Another quick question; Tarnow's reserves are really good; Do they operate a similar system in the UK so after a couple of big scores from Janowski; Will he move out of the reserve slots?

Also why is Janowski starting at reserve anyway?

As far as i know the reserves have to be Polish under 21 which "magic" qualifys for and they stay at reserve all year.

Good day everyone. The finest league in the world begins

Here are the lineups for our first match.

Stelmet Falubaz Zielona Góra:

1. Andreas Jonsson

2. Krzysztof Jabłoński

3. Piotr Protasiewicz

4. Łukasz Jankowski

5. Rune Holta

6. Patryk Dudek

7. Adam Strzelec

Polonia Bydgoszcz:

9. Emil Sajfutdinow

10. Artiom Łaguta

11. Tomasz Gapiński

12. Robert Kościecha

13. Krzysztof Buczkowski

14. Mikołaj Curyło

15. Szymon Woźniak

As our friend Racers and Royals points out above the basic rules in Poland are slightly different.

Both reserves must be Under 21 and stay there all season. ( 3years ago, i believe it was, we watched the promising season-long progress for Bydgoszcz

of a young man called Emil something or other  )

Reserves go out in heat 1 ( which can lead to a harum- scarum start to a meeting!)

No "dopey double points" thank goodness. Just the perfectly fine old fashioned tactical rule of 6 points down after 4 heats you can give anyone an extra ride and reserve replacement any time.

Heats 14 and 15 are nominated.

Crowds are slightly larger than in the UK.

Fans are slightly more "enthusiastic".

2 hours to go and speedway heaven awaits. :t:

Join you all then.

Regards to all- especially Racers and Royals who has to miss today because of work.

Alan.

For all those who watch on "sopcast" channel 56947 today

the big question that will be answered today is will michael jesper Jensen use the F word live on Polish television-last season he used it in his last four interviews. We can only wait and see ! !

Specially for Kris Ad Polish reserves aren`t allowed 7 rides-5 max i think.

Typical American putting the away team first

My scholarly Ph.D, MBA. toting wife informs me that the word is of scandanavian origin. Therefore it appears that young Mr Jepsen Jensen was simply imparting "cultural heritage" to Polish listeners!! Who am i to XXXXXXX argue?

Thanks for the sopcast link.

Best wishes. Alan.

No snow. :t:
