Guest WTF1 Posted October 4, 2012 If it fits: Josh Ash Thomas Michael Nick Gary Young/Bunyan This is a similar team i posted earlier on this thread with Nielsen at no7 although i believe Tom Young would be eligible i don't think Bunyan would fit ,at last someone else that thinks it time for David Howe to move on and bring the younger one's in,but having said that Howe has done Scunny proud over the years. montie 1,273 Posted October 5, 2012 After the expense of winning the PL  a team build on own assets to keep cost down but still do ok Auty pure entertainment Birks nicest kid in speedway and more to come Jorgensen Class say no more MPT great lad, great to watch and RG`S night watchman Wilkinson Crowd favourite and EWR specialist R.Worrall one of the brightest prospects for many a year, one last blast in the PL before bigger and better things Aarino Rides scunny really well, low average that could go back to 6.5ish he started on Wilko and Mpt at reserve Build i think in a sensible way when it come to finance in speedway these days
eric i 621 Posted October 5, 2012 This saying" A steal on his average" is a bit of a myth IMO. That IS his average. Hes on a low average because hes been riding for Redcar, in the main body of the team.If he rode for Scunny at reserve he would put a least a point on his current average. Ben91 1,743 Posted October 5, 2012 Auty 8.09 Morris 8.00 Howe 7.89 R. Worrall 5.78 Birks 5.59 S. Worrall 4.08 Nielsen 3.00 Total: 42.38 In response to the Richie will be back at Lakeside and Stefan will be at Ipswich responses that are likely to come, they won't be if they are at Scunthorpe and they are your assets

I presume Rob Godfrey will have to approve any deals. Edited October 5, 2012 by EC Rides Again
eric i 621 Posted October 5, 2012 (edited) If he scored well from reserve he would be back in the team though!! Not necessarily, it depends if he achieves an average greater then riders in the main body of the team, he could easly put a point on his 4.66 average and still be at reserve. Besides riders have good and bad years depending on a number of factors, such as what home track they ride for. If you look at Carls average at the beginning of the season its almost 2 points higher than his current average that suggests under the right circumstances i.e riding for Scunthorpe he could put points on his average. duffyscouse 62 Posted October 5, 2012 Josh Auty - a born entertainer and winner, never knows when hes beaten Ash Birks - a rare gent in modern times and has gone from strenght to strength TJ - Danish flyer and will be bona fide heat leader mateiralin 2103 (Sheff doubters take note - er squall n co R.Worall - a final PL hurrah and club asset to boost - robbed of an top averaging 2012 Nick Morris - cos the elite snt enough - would be fab to see him return Wliko/Gazza/MPT - whichever fits - personallt id go with the latter two if we can accomodate Stefan Nielsen/tom young - assuming we need to put a 3pointer in these two are bang likely - id plump Stefan JUST
IronScorpion 1,407 Posted October 6, 2012 Howe has been a Scorpion even though he's been injured, he's still been around the boys so i can see another year for David at Scunny. As for Nick. He came to Scunny to ride more & get his sharpness back. He's a Glasgow asset(as far as i am aware) & Rides for EL Swindon. He wanted to ride in the foreign leagues but did not get a spot. These are the contensious issues. We have done well this year as riders have improved their away form & also because of the change in personnel. Take nothing away from Armstrong & Aarnio is was their injuries & averages combined which meant changes HAD to be done.

Yeah he is still on Glasgow's books but i am sure if the right offer was made i have a feeling the new Glasgow promotion would cash in , same goes for Josh Grajzonek they would more than likely sell here too depending on other teams having spare cash which is highly unlikely.
