Any news on the make-ups of these divisions, or if they will be merged and when the fixtures will be published?

As far as i`m aware 7 teams in div 1 and 5 teams in div 2. No fixtures as yet.

In Div 1 they are keeping the play-off format the same as this year.

Been invited to Rybnik for a meeting,so am hoping there will be something at the beginning of May.Was told that they have an individual meeting that might be around that time.Hoping to see young Kacper Woryna

Can't wait to hear some news. I'll be going to Czestachova for SWC Round 1 and hanging around in South Poland for a few days til going to Prague for the SWC play-offs and final. It would be good if there was a fixture on the Sunday after the SWC to go to (Wanda Krakow maybe?)

T.b.h. I find it a bit worrying that there are not more teams in Poland if the sport is indeed as popular as everyone seems to think. The league struggles to get just five teams in for division 2 next year. Why are there no new clubs popping up in Poland?

What about Warsaw, don't they have a speedway track there? I think so, and there are other venues, Poznan, Siwetochlowice, Chorzow, and possibly some other speedway tracks that lay dormant. I don't understand this, really.

Thanks for that R&R

So, nothing planned for 14th July, which for the Extraliga, was expected (SWC week) but I was kind of hoping that the lower leagues might have done something that day. Do Polish Clubs ever pad-out their fixture list with challenge/individual/pairs/etc meetings, on "spare" dates?

Translated into English and now moved up to the opening post on this thread, where the fixtures are probably better located.

Thanks to R&R for the original links.

I should imagine the Sunday is kept blank as the rain-off date.Last year for instance there were no Polish meetings on the 8th July -the day after the bydgoszcz SWC opener however there were meetings on the following Wednesday(11th) in Poland(youth league) and a meeting in Pardubice.

For anyone confused Wegiel = Lublin

Thanks, Lublin entries have been corrected.

There seem to be plenty of reserved dates for catching up on rain-off's so who knows? How would we get to hear about Polish Youth League etc over here? Basically, I'll be going to the Polish SWC round at Czestochowa, and then hanging around as a Mk1 tourist in the Katowice / South Poland area until the Wednesday when I get the train to Prague for the rest of the SWC. I'd like to get to another meeting of some description whilst in the area if possible.

I could well have mentioned this before-the first thing to do is to buy the Speedway star 128 page guide to the 2013 season which will be published at the end of March-which has the full polish fixtures.Sportowefakty have a section on all the domestic Polish competitions.

Edit Youth league matches planned for Tues and Wed details here http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/329505/kalendarz-imprez-zuzlowych-w-2013-roku-inaguracja-sezonu-w-krosnie-opolu-i-rawic
