Just had a chat with Bryn who sadly us unable to watch the GP tonight

His hip replacement was successful on Wednwssay and he has a titanium ball in his hip now

He will be in hospital until they deem him fit enough to live alone but hope to move him closer to home soon

He is grateful for visitors he has had and Les Aubrey has been in several times

Hopefully in a couple of days I will take a laptop over to him and we can give him a dongle to get access to the forum for himself

We talked about doing it on Saturday while watching the GP

Bryn has been great for Oxford Speedway (and many other clubs) and its a difficult time for him being in hospital so far away from home so the least we could do.

Great stuff Chris, Bryn is a legend at Lakeside. Hope to see you posting on here soon Bryn. We need you back at the Purfleet raceway asap to answer the phone calls from Robert in Herne Bay about the weather!!!

Good news is that Bryn is leaving hospital tomorrow as he is getting very little rest (given the noise in the hospital) and they have decided that he is better off at home just resting and getting a decent nights sleep

So he back at home tomorrow and at least in his own surroundings

Thanks for all the foregoing messages folks and glad to be home. Mind you fellas (and ladies) don't ever claim you'll be able to cope at home alone if they let you out sooner than they should as you won't - as I've found out since Friday!

Have never felt the need to ask for help before (we're all to proud for that aren't we?) and there's people far worse off than I but had to concede I needed to seek assistance this morning and things have moved rapidly today in that direction leaving me far happier than I was yesterday.

Set my sights on being at IOW for last meeting of the season next week - hopefully I will be but time will tell. Meanwhile hope I don't fall asleep in front of the TV before the end of tonight's track action!

Them escorts are great, aren't they. Glad you are feeling better, and hope you make it to the IOW. Take Care.
