Coventry Bees 2014

It's been a couple of years since Adam rode in the national league and premier, think it was after he recovered from the neck break?

What say he signs for the Storm, could he be eligible for a reserve spot?

I believe that leaves us with 13.65 points for the 2 last riders.

King + Zengota = 13.61

Andersen + Gustaffson = 13.51

Sundstrom + Zengota = 13.37

They look the most likely possible choices. Or maybe throw Kennett  as a possible instead of Zengota.

Outside bet maybe Zagar and Summers.

Out of the choice option 2 would be my preferred choice, however expect 1 or 3 as the more likely options.

Nice to see Horton has been paying attention, :approve: if he can get Gustaffson as well that's a pretty decent top 5,with only 32 points to play with. Although until we see how other teams shape up it is difficult to make a judgement, plus of course the unknowns of each club's reserve strengths. However no real complaints so far, the team looks far more promising than last season's team. :t:

Well done to the promotion team. Whatever happens over the course of next season, I don't think anyone will be able to take major issue with the way the team has been put together over this winter.

Hans is just about the best number 1 we could have realistically signed this winter. Although I do wonder how well he and Havvy will work together? If Twitter comments are to be believed, they don't appear to get on at all.

As for the final rider, I would love to see Gustafsson at Brandon on an average of 5.17. However, if that's a no-go I would now be tempted to give it to Summers. It would leave us half a point shy of the limit but his form is good around Brandon. Assuming that the two reserves are on a par with those of other teams, this team should be pretty hard to beat around Brandon at least.

I still think the most important signing would be that of Phil Morris as team manager! Luckily I've come up with a plan to make it happen...

After all, because we acted so charitably helping Birmingham out with riders last year, and in light of their current much documented problems, I think it's only fair we reach out the hand of friendship once more to our poor relations twenty miles down the M6!

To solve their management problem, Havvy could go to Birmingham!

Thanks for the offer, nice to at least see one Coventry fan care ;) but I hope Phil can return to the Brummies if there is a change of ownership

Not if Havvy remains as manager. The two do not get on at all.

Looks like someone has kissed and made up then

Could Zengi be heading back to Swindon?

Hope not as he's not good enough away from home for me.

Oh & good luck to Hans who was the best captain we had by a mile since the great Leigh Adams.

PS. No silly "freak" accidents this time please Hans ;)

Oh, he needs to be the captain too!

ALLEN, GUSTAFSSON and AUTY seem favourites..

One of them rides for a Friday club and anothers average is too high.

Liking the look of the side so far ,Danny king was a bit of a red herring then ,it's even mentioned in the SS again today that the bees were given permission to speak to Danny towards the end of the season and Phil Morris was unaware of it occurring.

would like a 5 point newcomer to complete the side any likely Danes or swedes spring to mind.?

Gonna miss Zengi with the bees. Hope to see him back in the future.

Really hoping Kozza is our final rider.

Will be disappointed if Robson or Allen as Summers better rider

Could the Bees fit Kevin Wolbert in , if available ? Often impressive around Brandon .

Gustafsson 5.17 Allen 5.19 according to the final issue. Is this correct or am I mistaken...
