Fact for Steve Shovlar not opinion

Sweden - 2012

Ward 7.94

Iversen 9.22

Woffinden 6.00

Sweden - 2013

Ward 8.73

Iversen 8.71

Poland - 2012

Ward 7.36

Iversen 8.52

Woffinden 6.30

Poland - 2013

Ward 7.62

Iversen 9.46

Woffinden 9.33

UK - 2012

Ward 9.76

Iversen 8.84

Woffinden 8.80

UK - 2013

Ward 9.07

Iversen 9.12

Woffinden 9.20

Clearly shows from FACTS that Iversen is many steps ahead of Ward. Ward is still young and has all the potential to be better but right now he's not. In 2013 Woffinden shows as the biggest improver too. These are facts, enjoy them Steve

Fact.

This 'my dad is bigger than you dad' argument is boring - Fact.

They're both great riders, wait till they've both retired and see where they ended up.

Darcy is a team rider and often finishes second to his partner. Means a lower average

Meanwhile back on topic, are Pirates going to win the league again in 2014? Looking good!

Injuries, and avoiding them, are part of the sport. There've been any talented riders who haven't fulfilled potential because of injuries.

Or it could mean Darcy's crap at gating and crashing lots from over riding which was very paramount in 2013

Or it could simply mean it took him a while to get back in the scoring groove after missing half the season through injury.

Gavan it was me that introduced the Chris Holder average (9.25 - when he got injured), as the argument/opinion as to who was the 'better' rider seemed to be taking the route of who had the highest average and therefore who was the better rider? ie Darcy or Tai?

I was trying to illustrate that averages can be misleading as well as also giving an indication as to the best rider at any given time. Holder's finishing EL average of 9.25 therefore makes him a better rider than Tai, Darcy or NKI!!! Fact!! or is it?! :D

As this is a Poole Pirates 2014 thread, then I'm entitled to ask/state/wind-up? surely?! :D

What was Darcy's EL average when he got injured - less than 7.00 I believe...

So you keep on saying, but its irrelevant as the discussion is about who is the best rider right now, not in nine months time. Most people would agree that Darcy could potentially be the best rider in the world for several years if he can behaves correctly off track, starting in 2014.

But based on 2013 he isn't yet.

Yeh, but this time next year, some won't be murmuring a word...
