BADGER69 33 Posted September 24, 2013 Bottom line is that people can laugh at Matt Ford but Poole will be pocketing £80k come next Monday and unlike Swindon and Birmingham? ; That money won't go on clearing debts. Yes and half should go to Belle Vue
TesarRacing 1,825 Posted September 24, 2013 How about their chickens? Yes, I was worried about their chickens. I think they have bolted!!
Gavan 5,050 Posted September 24, 2013 A bridge too far this time. We needed to keep it to 8 max, preferably 4-6, and 10 is too much to pull back IMO. Swindon are the one team who ride WR as well as us and I think we will come up short. But as long as we go down fighting the Poole way, by never giving up, we have to be more than satisfied considering the season we have had. Next season Matt will build another side full of winners to challenge for the title again. We know we will be there or thereabouts again. ha haha haha ha team full of winners lol how far from the truth are you. miskowiak and stachyra are winners and great signings i think not!!! team was built so poor yet you cant acknowledge that can you. When you have premier league second strings in the main body of an elite league team you will struggle so your team isnt built well at at all. brummies have a premier league number 1 at reserve in Auty and two more premier league number ones in the main body now thats how you build a side. Still waiting for you answer on how much Dyer is a better rider than Howarth at elite league level, made yourself look daft again!!!!
BritPete 625 Posted September 24, 2013 How about their chickens? "Horses" was a classic Rosco-ism, live on sky a few years ago.
ruckerroo 792 Posted September 24, 2013 Poole have one thing to look at from sf1 , they should be dead and buried really . 10 is plenty but you never know
hagonshocker 1,956 Posted September 24, 2013 I am so sick of all the crap against Ford I hope Poole win. Awww bless I agree. I did hate Ford with a passion after all the trouble I had with my old Escort. Mrs is trialling a Fiesta at the moment and I've been taking the nearly new company Focus for a spin. I'm starting to come round to Ford again. Are they worth the money??? Yeah and he was an Hitler sympathiser...Henry Ford i mean...oh hang on Adolf had Goebels as is mouthpiece...Matt has Shovlar.....mmm spooky
Skidder1 7,637 Posted September 24, 2013 Gates to open early at 1815 hours for the huge crowd expected, win or lose, - as is the case with most Poole meetings!!

foreverblue 6,096 Posted September 24, 2013 A 10 point lead is alot to pull back but it is possible and if we have a 8 point lead going in to heat 12 then that would be the ideal scenario. I suppose if the Robins don't get two tac rides they will say they got robbed but those are the rules and you can't change the rules just for the play offs.
moxey63 1,785 Posted September 24, 2013 Poole and Ford have done more good for speedway than anything else, a professionally run club who always want to remain top is a plan many others should aspire to, and the sport all round would be more appealing. Last night's Play-Off showed speedway riders still want to race - when there is something to go for. As is proven in GPs, European Championship and special events, riders only seem to come out of hibernation and discover the delights of what racing really means, which is effort for four laps and not just tootling around picking up whatever position they are in after a lap or so. Riders can't raise their racing efforts for a series of qualifying matches, as the league programme has now become. Only on are occasions will matches provide decent racing in more heats than not - and that's probably why the EL is usually so damn boring. I await my windows going through.

Poole just need a big finish like this: Heat 13: Bjerre, Janowski, Ward, Kylmakorpi. (3-3)...37-41...60.68 Line Up: Ward, Janowski, Bjerre, Kylmakorpi Comments: Bjerre gates and the Pirates chase hard after him. Bjerre stands his ground and wins easily in the end. Heat 14: Hougaard, Buczkowski, Dyer, Tungate. (1-5)...38-46...60.44 Line Up: Tungate, Howarth Dyer, Buczkowski, Hougaard Comments: Easy from the gate for the Panthers. Heat 15: Bjerre, Kylmakorpi, Ward, Hancock. (1-5)...39-51...61.09 Line-up: Hancock, Ward, Bjerre, Kylmakorpi Comments: Ward gates but the Panthers pair soon pass him and clear off for the win. Crump99 4,476 Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) Perhaps if we could swap Hougaard and Bucko for Tungate and Dyer that would work, i am sure no one would notice! Certainly need something. If it's a decent circuit then Ward apart and Grinning when your winning if he turns up you'll not have enough. If it's slick and a gating competion you'll not have enough. Basically you're stuffed unless it tips it down, you can engineer an 11 point lead and Middlo suddenly becomes concerned about rider safety - but that's fantasy isn't it Edited September 24, 2013 by Crump99
