thecoombdog 2,367 Posted August 31, 2014 Well 50 pts wont be enough ...as I expect Eastie to pick up at least 3 pts away v weak oppo in Belle Vue no reserves ,Cov twice and Wolves minus woffy ...in that double headed between Cov and Eastie they could also let each other win once so both go into the semi's . No points at the Lions then Swindon are out and they have no Worrall and have no one to replace him I think we will miss out for those exact same reasons. People are taking like we are already there which is crazy. Its our own fault for dropping all those stupid points early in the season.
Daniel Smith 5,666 Posted August 31, 2014 If BV vs Eastbourne is run on one of the play-off mondays then that leagues Poole and Kings Lynn screwed for guests! Woffy probably not interested, only Mads at Leicester, little Pawlicki and Watt the only options left Don't agree with that. Nobody in Eastbourne's team is worth a punt and not fussed about Zagar. I genuinely believe (at home which has been our biggest problem with killing teams) Stead or Mads are the better options but we need our 2 and 4 to wake up. If our 2 and 4 can't pull their socks up, it really doesn't matter who the guest is.

You're right about Stead though, probably a better option than a few of those already named.
g13webb 4,254 Posted September 1, 2014 It was pointed out to me that Porsing's form had dipped because he's been trying out new engines and equipment. He has now decided to go back with his original bikes where he use to scored big points. Fingers crossed.......
ivanhoward 18 Posted September 1, 2014 No one has mentioned Scott Nicholls as a guest. He might be a good choice for the match at Coventry.
tellboy 3,662 Posted September 1, 2014 All the riders mentioned just goes to show how poor the EL is. We have the top rider in the averages so would be able to use anyone and names like Watt,Pedersen,Mads, and Stead are being mentioned. No disrespect to these riders but they are not in NKI's league. You would have thought the rules would allow a team who has a rider with a genuine injury to be replaced, especially as there is still 7 weeks to go until the end of the play-offs.
pointsmeanplayoffs 417 Posted September 1, 2014 Get Mads in, at least we'll still have a KL heart to our team. Nobody would question his commitment to the cause, an accusation which is often levelled at guests. He'd love to win it for his buddy Niels.

Mads has had some good results at cov, poole and Swindon(all potential play off opponents), so hopefully will dust off his 2013 kevlars and come and lend a hand
Sienna Ryan 43 Posted September 1, 2014 Really feel for King's Lynn as Iversen has been one of the best riders this team and King's Lynn have been the best team Really hope they still make the final
double_O 257 Posted September 1, 2014 Coventry ? you got be joking there team is shocking thou they might made the plays they have no chance in the semi's . Agreed. If Bees qualify, they will have by far the worst team and manager. Kings Lynn will hope to finish top and pick us as they wont want Swindon, who IMO are possibly slight favourites now with what has happened to Iversen and Ward. Young pawlicki would have been on poole's radar too especially the way he goes round wimbourne road !! Looks like that option has closed now !!
Star Fever 274 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) Coventry ? you got be joking there team is shocking thou they might made the plays they have no chance in the semi's . Coventry are virtually certain to be in the play-offs (completion of fixtures pending) - they could probably lose a couple at home and STILL make it if Lakeside/ Eastbourne fail to gain away points! Signing Barker didn't help but he's out again so with a decent guest, who knows if they'll get further). Edited September 1, 2014 by Star Fever

I think anyone from the main 4 mentioned can win it as it stands. Pros and cons for all 4 sides.
Crazy robin 2,963 Posted September 1, 2014 Rose or lambert dont think it matters much, they are both better than any other 2nd reserve in the league which just shows why the system is flawed What did you expect to get the most experienced rider & another decent reserve as well then?. That is one of the funniest posts on here for a while. How can Swindon be favourites as they probably won't even qualify & not sure even if they do then can't see them beating Poole or Coventry. The season has been a disaster & yet again they need to sit down in the winter & try to get a system that is fair to all teams & especially the fans. Feel big time for Lynn as they had an injury after the cut off but Darcy was always going to be banned so why didn't they sort something out?.
