We cant get a break even crowd to come through the gates at Ashfield, try getting them to travel 30 miles away, and to the East!

plenty logistical problems as well chucks. It may 'only' be 30 miles but transport links are almost non existant on a Sunday. For those on public transport you would probably be looking at them getting in to Glasgow (a lot seem to be from the south side), train or bus to Edinburgh centre then train out to Bathgate or if you are very lucky bus to Armadale. Those getting the train to Bathgate have a good 2-3 mile walk/taxi after that. Then the same in reverse at the end of a meeting, all on Sunday service.

Armadale make look 'not far' on a map but in reality, especially on a Sunday, it is

Let's be honest here the "fire"at Ashfield will not be the reason if the Tigers don't run next season..Hope something can be sorted out.

IIRC Only 1 meeting weekly between specified hours (7pm - 10pm ??) are permitted. Any additional meetings require dispensation from the local authority.

Did that apply in the Dale Devil days ?

Apparently was a stipulation added later at one of the three year renewals .

The three year renewal has now been dropped but as far as I am aware the time & weekly restrictions still apply.

There was permission to run on Saturdays also in those days, but it was removed.

I agree on that point. The rented portacabin would be insured by its owner, and the contents must surely have been insured by the directors. Surely?
