MattK 3,447 Posted April 18, 2014 It also should be remembered what Good Friday means. It's called "good" Friday because we don't have to go to work?
The White Knight 9,039 Posted April 18, 2014 It's a religious holiday observed mainly by Christians celebrating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, that's what I was informed at school. Everyone to their own but I'm not religious so enjoy watching sport on this day, but respect people that have their own agenda and beliefs. I would not argue with that. I respect your opinion too. I couldn't go on Good Friday myself - but others are entitled to their views too. It's called "good" Friday because we don't have to go to work? So much for my sensible discussion Matt. van wolfswinkel 635 Posted April 18, 2014 It's called "good" Friday because we don't have to go to work? I'm one of the lucky ones with a paid holiday but loads have to work, the missus is in retail and its one of the busiest days of the year.
