Paulco 7,084 Posted May 17, 2014 At work so no time for the big build up . But as usual on a Sunday the United Kingdom is forecast to be basking in sunshine , while our little corner has a big blue wet thing over it according to this morning's weather map . But in the hope the speedway hating weather god buggers off somewhere else and leaves us alone , this meeting is really all about the Comets . They must get the 4 points out of this one to progress to the Semi Finals , while for us it's all about maintaining the home winning run . No idea how both teams will line up as there may be some mickey mouse meeting in Kazakhstan or somewhere that will deprive us of a couple of riders , but on the assumption there's nothing to annoy us , we can look forward to welcoming back three ex-Tigers in the Comets' ranks . Josh Grajczonek , Mason Campton and Chris Mills . Reports in this morning's Sun suggest Anders Thomsen is going to try and ride through the pain barrier , not sure that's such a good idea with nothing really hanging on this meeting for Glasgow . Weeyin 1,022 Posted May 17, 2014 Think I would prefer Anders to take time out and get fit, as we could use a guest for him if he is injured (and not competing in another country), Would love the rain to b**ger off somewhere else for a change, think it will be a tough one for us tomorrow and even tougher next week !!
Mr Blobby 2,676 Posted May 17, 2014 Hope Josh gives you all a wave! Don't want world war III to start!
Lord Lucan 375 Posted May 17, 2014 It does look like a poor forecast so gotta hope that it just passes by, need this fixture to be run so the semi's can be sorted for sometime in September!! Comets should win but that's not a complete gimme so I'll take a chance, if we race, of 41-49?

Lioness 1,455 Posted May 17, 2014 Hope Josh gives you all a wave! Don't want world war III to start! You are not usually very funny but this one's a belter lol Fair play to Josh after all that nursery school stuff last season he posed for a picture for me waving next time he was up! Dont think my sense of humour went down well in some quarters when I posted it though (Always thought it was bizarre that something like this was aimed at Josh - I've admired his excellent professional persona from day one at Glasgow, a lot of young riders could learn from him that way imo)

Paulco 7,084 Posted May 18, 2014 Another watching the sky Sunday in store i'm afraid . For any travelling Comets it's cloudy , but dry at the moment . But who knows what that misery guts in the sky has in store for us this week .

Chris Hutcheson 32 Posted May 18, 2014 That's unfortunate for the tigs, you would have thought Berge would have scored more than the 4 from RR. Even if Rusty had pulled his finger out they could have won the meeting. What's the latest on Berge anyway?
