Lord Skid 425 Posted August 26, 2014 This should be a decent meeting. Great track, with plenty of spectacularity, like Shielfield. We might just fancy our chances? Best get there early and start digging a big hole in the first bend, to make it feel like home then.

TheScotsman 2,483 Posted August 26, 2014 Radars suggest the rain should have moved away from Peterborough by 10.30 this morning and should be dry for the rest of the day. Still chucking it down in Essex mind!!

mudflaps 664 Posted August 26, 2014 ALL SYSTEMS GO! Tuesday August 26, 2014 PETERBOROUGH co-promoter Trevor Swales is delighted with the condition of the East of England Showground track ahead of a crucial Premier League double-header tonight (Tuesday). The 'TC Harrison' Panthers take on Berwick Bandits and Plymouth Devils on a bumper night of racing.Swales said: "The track is looking very good considering the torrential rain which fell throughout Monday."The forecast for the rest of the day is overcast with sunny intervals, but crucially no rain."There is also a bit of wind which is helping with drying out the track and it is all systems go for a big night of speedway."The opening meeting against Berwick still start at 7pm promptly and all supporters are advised to arrive early. The parade takes place at 6.50pm. Pat Seems very hopeful!

TheScotsman 2,483 Posted August 26, 2014 Great price tonight - £20 adults; £15 concessions; £5 children - for 30 heats. Hopefully the track will be in good nick after the rain. And hopefully the fish & chip van will still be doing a roaring trade!!
