Not really plying his trade as he wasn't working or getting paid for it

Cant see how a private practice can be wrong.

Presumably currently on a holiday visa as if the full work visa is in place there is no problem anyway.

Look at it this way - if a pro surfer comes to the UK on a holiday visa would he be prohibited from catching a few waves down at Newquay just because thats what he does for a living back home?

Surely it would just be classed as recreational which is what a holiday is all about.

This is exactly what started the investigation into visa abuse, especially visiting OZ riders, going back to Max Frickes first after meeting rides at Edinburgh.

exactly, after meeting, which has been said before paying public are still in attendance. he was at a PRIVATE practice session, ie NOT working, NOT earning, no different to the surfer mentioned above or even an aussie on holiday and doing a ride n slide day.

If an Aussie does a ride and slide day I don't think he'll be taking back what he's learnt for his day job. But a speedway rider riding a speedway track in practice could be training for his work and learning new skills.

When Wayne Rooney turns up at the Man united training ground, is he in work? Or is he relaxing in his spare time?

Training sessions:

22.5 All participants must be SCB Registered, (a One-Event Training Registration for British

domiciled Nationals only is permitted; a copy of which must be attached to the Training

Session Signing-On Form that is posted to the SCB within 48 hours. The Parent / Guardian of

a Youth Rider must countersign all documents where appropriate.

Would an Australian who has not got a work permit be SCB Registered? As Tsunami has been urging, let's drop this one (although it looks as though the SCB would have learned about Ty Proctor riding at Scunny within 48 hours, anyway).

Compton could probably do a job but anyone who is suggesting Hall or Wilson and their awful away form obviously has no interest in Sheffield winning anything this season.

Can't see it being Compton not been on a bike for 6 months and no sightings of him practicing either so can't see him riding again myself really .

Now let's think, who beat Steady round Sheffield by a straight, after telling the Promotion he would do it, then scored 17 at Worky guesting, beat Hancock and Harris in a GP, and wanted to ride for Sheffield On a false average, as he didn't want to ride for his old Club.

You're getting a bit desperate now, Jason. Still no offers?

Thought professional speedway riders were paid appearance money and for points scored. If so who'd be paying him during that private practice session, where there was no paying public to watch that appearance and how many points did he score that he was paid for?

See this for what it was, a spin on a mates bike, for goodness sake talk about pedantic!

he could get his racing licence revoked or banned ,like darcy. at the end of the day , he was on a track registered by the bspa to run meeting and other events, including practice sessions etc. a signing on form and practice fees may be involved. that puts scunny in a difficult position.

should have had a word with Richard Lawson and had a go on his track out allonby way . but hey ., no fuss no medics . just come and ride. if you crash its your fault... cookie done it a few weeks ago.way. no fees. no insurance BUT HEY, NOT ON A BSPA SPEEDWAY TRACK.

How can you liken this situation with what Darcy Ward did? Any way if you're going to get all legal about it where's the hard evidence? Just sounds like hearsay to me! :)

Do you mean like the UKVI were with previous after meeting rides that started this whole situation. Best talk about safer subjects, and you not being so pedantic.
