Team by team, what are everyones views on the number of British riders included in their 2014 Premier League side's declared 1 to 7? Should there be a change in 2015 - YES/NO and the reasons why. Would be interested in reading YOUR views.

If you include Chris Mills in Newcastle's 1-7, at the end of the season we only had 2 non-Brits (Ludvig Lindgren and Simon Neilsen). At the start of the season we also had Christian Henry and Anton Rosen in the team (2 non-Brits), so a bit of swings and roundabouts!

My own personal view is, at least one of the reserves should be British and possibly limit the amount of non-Brits in the 1-5.

Id like to see an all British reserve rule implemented -perhaps with a fastrack type No 7 in place as part of that.

Aim should be for min 4 Brits in each 1-7 IMO.

Not enough Brits around to allow all teams to have a majority in their 1-7 but a British NL type rider at 7 seems possible.

Given all the Brussels laws Europeans can`t be denied work and teams have exploited that already so I`d keep the assessed 7 there.

Yanks and Aussies on a 5 seems fair.

Every successful team needs a few `roos Eh?

Agree it would difficult at present to have majority of Brits but it should be an aim.

To that end regs should be set to help this such as Brit only reserves.

Also assessed averages should be a minimum and not reduce where not acheived.

The way forward is to make the Premier League Regulations state that all Premier League Teams must have TWO British Reserves in their Teams. I quite agree.

If we want BRITISH Speedway to improve - then that is the only way to go.

Not sure how you are going to force British reserves to sign for Scottish teams.

It's hard enough getting any Brits to do the travelling on a regular basis.

Agreed that should happen in 2015 and in 2016 it should be 2 Brits at reserve and at least one in the team.

As for the EL, they already have 2 Brits at reserve so anything less would be a backward step.

I don't care what the EU law says, Poland and Sweden manage to get round it so it can be done.

Scotsman has it spot on , a lot of British riders just don't want to have the weekly travel north of the border .

Id expect that any youngster from Scunny and northwards is as likely to be prepared to go up as want to travel to Ipswich Plymouth or Somerset.

The whole idea would be to expand home grown riders over time.

Yes with Derek sneddon retiring there is a good chance there will be no Scots racing pl next year. Very disappointing.

Agree with paulco and Scotsman forcing two youngster to have to come to Edinburgh or Glasgow will not do rider or club any good. There have been a few that have tried but if you are struggling it is a long journey.
