Polish Promotion/relegation Sunday 4th October

Recommended Posts

Not quite as big a crowd as tomorrow's Elite meeting. Must be a fantastic atmosphere. Let's hope it is an injury free cracker

The home fans will be tense, Torun have done a pretty good job keeping Leszno quiet so far.

Slight edge to Torun after 7, but it's a brave man who knows the outcome. Very absorbing and enjoyable meeting so far

Ah those well behaved gentlemanly fans. ;) You get a crowd this size and it only takes a few idiots to spoil it. The Elite League these days doesn't attract enough fans to form a fight.

50/50....Think Leszno will win but not sure if they can get it back on aggregate.

I was talking "on aggregate". Still think you need to be brave to forecast. A tense 5 heats in store.

I haven't kept count, but Torun have followed "Ole's dictum"- Don't run lasts, enough to keep them in it.

Now we are dead even on aggregate.

No winners from gate 1. Not often that happens.

Last gasp Leszno

Congratulations Leszno and supporters. Surely their championship especially with Wroclaw on a neutral track for their leg. Thanks for the company folks and take care all. Alan.

Torun made a fight of it. Leszno deserved it on the season's efforts. Decent meeting.

Am I missing something?

Why were Leszno celebrating like they'd won after heat 14, when a 5-1 from Torun in the last race would have tied the scores on aggregate.

On our way home from a great evening in Leszno. Some good racing and the stadium was absolutely packed with fans. Great stuff once again. Hope I can make it to the final too.

Just a guess but with there not being a limitless number of dates available, to re-run a play-off there may an "...in the event of a tie..." rule that favours the team with the higher league placing, or most heat wins, or something? The riders and staff obviously knew something to cause their jubilation.
