I reckon 40 points might win it tonight and as much as I'd like TeamGB to get there, I can't see them getting 40. Poland can and are worthy favourites and Russia possibly if the Laguta brothers can get 24/25 between them. The question is can the other 2 Russians get 16?

 

I think 50/1 outright for Russia is overpriced especially as they will have had track experience if they progress and Emil Sayfutdinov coming in for the final. 7/2 Poland is also very fair again due to track experience and worth a saver.

If the reports about the Laguta's not turning up are correct, then a massive sell with Sporting index appears to be the bet of the season. Ironically their price had gone up, but I assume it will tumble now.

Now I've got a dilemma. When the quote was 8-11 I sold @ £100, now it's 1-3. So I can take £500 now or let it run, and hope the Yanks push the Russians into 4th place. Just hope Greg has a good night then I should be safe.
