Berwick V Sheffield - August 15th

Recommended Posts

It says in the newsletter that he's riding at 4? They have mentioned a lot that he will be back for August despite most fans knowing that that would not be the case, the promotion even promised us that we wouldn't have to put up with r/r anymore, brilliantly done

Another update from Claus himself would make the picture clearer would it not?Not that anybody would want him back to early if he is not fit.

We are the preverbial mushrooms

Speak for yourself, but I don't consider myself preverbal ;)

Lets just be grateful that Redcar and Scunthorpe are below us, though if Berwick`s losing streak continues that may change.

Newsletter carries the good news that Ricky Ashworth will be in attendance, plus a good hospitality offer.

Track has been resurfaced, fence refurbished and the weather looks set fair.

Let's go racing!

Lets hope the new resurfaced track helps cure our white line fever.

C'mon people, let's be positive here.

The club is encouraging people to support speedway at Berwick. I got my newsletter yesterday, and read this:

While awaiting the call, or calls, which might help assure the future of the sport in the borders, there is something everyone can do on Saturday night to reassure potential investors of time and money of our club's viability -- simply turn up!

A bigger, happier crowd will reassure the bosses that their efforts to ensure continuation of speedway in Berwick should be redoubled.

More people on the terracing and in the stand on Saturday will give the Dixon Building Bandits' riders an incentive to get the team back to winning ways.

An increased attendance should also convince a potential buyer, or parties considering investment by joining the board to ease their load, that Saturday night racing is still very much a worthwhile proposition.

If that newsletter is read by the 500 or so subscribers, and we all feel good about attending speedway on a warm sunny night, it could brighten everything up considerably.

Too much negativity around here. C'mon the mightys!

He is named by Sheffield at No 2 in the line-up supplied to Berwick for printing in programme, and to referee for checking averages, etc.

Just had a look at the U21 lineup in Lublin on Saturday and Paco is not in the line up, so will be at Berwick.

Correct Castagna was indeed the wildcard for the first Under-21 Final along with Nicolas Vincentin.
