Coventry V Poole Elsf 1

Recommended Posts

Not really as a lot of riders in the elite league also ride in the premier league, plus speedway should only be £10 for normal meetings anyway.

I'm looking forward to you taking over the promotion at Coventry then if you would only charge £10 a meeting.

Precisely. Plus good luck with getting the riders to risks their necks for considerably less money.

Accuweather has showers at 9am till 10am, 1pm-2 then at 6-7 pm. All at around the 50%-60% mark so may not even rain at all.

BBC has heavy showers throughout the day and some of them may be thundery! Hopefully they are just localised showers and miss the stadium!

Make the bikes a lot cheaper to run and have a basic wage, it's one way of saving speedway.

so young kids risk there necks for nothing as not many get paid, also how much do riders in the 3rd tier of speedway get ? £5 a point ?

Also how much do UK promotors pay in airfares for riders ?

Bad news for Coventry is that Garrity is also a doubt. If we go in to this meeting without our best two riders in Harris and Garrity then it's over before its started.

In today's Sheffield Star that Garrity is a lot better after a few days rest:

Reading that interview made me smile. Even in the typed/printed word you can tell how enthusiastic the guy is - and it rubs off on the fans, is there a single Coventry or Sheffield fan that doesn't love having him in their team?

That's good news. Hoping he stays safe Thursday.

He's great and gives 100% for both teams in and out of the pits. One of my favourite riders.

What about Poole riders with injuries?

Janowski and Newman.....both of them were bashed up by accidents last weekend weren't they?

Exactly. Boths teams top 2 by average (also number 1 by average and top draft rider) have been in the wars, both have the same worries now that Coventry have got Lindgren in for Joonas.

You seem to be becoming a bigger and bigger pillock with every post. According to the Coventry Stox website it costs £19 admission to see a stock car meeting with mostly amateur drivers who pay to race. We would all be interested to see how you would run a speedway meeting for £8.30p plus VAT and make it pay.

Matt Ford hasn't heard from Janowski , who has had stitches in his elbow, which according to him is good news and no reason to think he won't be riding and Newman has fully recovered from the dizziness he felt after his crash. If those two hadn't ridden last season we wouldn't be defending champions so good news, still worried about Magic who although has ridden since hasn't won a race and probably won't be fully fit. Holder is also a worry as the Darcy situation is clearly affecting his riding and North hasn't ridden well lately either so can't really say i'm brimming with confidence!

North on his number 1 bike will be fine, hopefully he's got it back now!

We hope so, don't they all blame their equipment !

At least the forecast is better now.

I do feel for Magic though, having to bend your elbow when you're about to start a race must be painful 😐
