heathen chemistry 660 Posted September 18, 2015 roscoe has a big job to get the aggregate win , but its definately do-able i was beginning to think swindons chances evaporated when darcy was injured as he was a catalyst to the attitude and spirit in the swindon camp would of been interesting to see what darcy would of done if in the play off final at poole as it stands now thou poole will win the title with ease
Reliant Robin 492 Posted September 18, 2015 He has looked a different rider than last year. I think it hasn't just been down to injuries though. When he guested for Coventry, he told Havvy that he had more fun guesting for us in one meeting than he had had riding for Swindon all season. Greaves was very vocal about the lack of support given to reserves by Rosco and some of the riders last year as well. I think if we see Rose back at King's Lynn next year then we may see him back to his best. He was brilliant last year. It's funny...Hans said to Rosco that he'd preferred the guest bookings for Swindon to riding for Coventry.

Maybe the problem is his PL club but you decided that didn't suit your point?

Crazy robin 2,963 Posted September 18, 2015 Swindon have conceded a 5-1 in the last 3 meetings in Heat 1 & then the reserves are up & down like a fiddlers elbow & weaker than Worrall & Nielsen so Swindon need to be at least level after Heat 2 or it could be the same as last years play off when Coventry romped it. The top 5 certainly owe the fans a performance after their poor showings at Kings Lynn & Belle Vue.
SUPERACE 440 Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) It's definitely not over but it's very very tough to pull 14 points back in a 2 leg tie. The Aces are super motivated and with a great man manager in Lemon behind them, they won't let heads drop if it's a slow start. I think Swindon will win on the night but they would have to inflict belle vues biggest defeat all season to qualify for the final. van wolfswinkel 635 Posted September 19, 2015 (edited) Hmm Cook has not really stepped up in these meetings that really matter, i too fear he could be a weak link, we got away with it at Wolves we wont at Swindon. Last time at Blunsdon watched a few heats from the centre-green and Cookie was easily the fastest rider, superb speed and powered past two Robins. Zagar and Cookie to score well. With no Darce Batch not good enough at number 1 or skipper to motivate the Robins to an aggregate win. And with 8 at Belle Vue he was the top scorer! Morra obviously badly affected by his close mates injury. Big reliance on Killer Zengi and Wrighty to hit big scores.... will go Swindon 42 Madchester 50 Weather forecast not good. BritPete 625 Posted September 19, 2015 When you look at the mathematics of it, you can see how hard this will be for Swindon. If we dominate the meeting, then a tr, for Belle Vue would be highly likely, and in the event of it being successful, we would need a scoreline of: 54-39! No doubt the Mighty Robins will give their all,but that scoreline is highly improbable.
lisa-colette 6,035 Posted September 19, 2015 Belle Vue need to score 40 to guarantee an aggregate win, highlighting the likely advantage swindon have of an extra heat on their home track.Might only have 10 heats!
iand 133 Posted September 20, 2015 Will the new averages apply for this match ie Zengotta and Killer 1st and 2nd in the averages.
mdmc82 2,878 Posted September 20, 2015 (edited) Will the new averages apply for this match ie Zengotta and Killer 1st and 2nd in the averages. Will be the same averages that were in place from 1st Sep so no. The final ones are just so we know what averages they start next season on. The new averages as a 2nd string are actually bad news for Summers as can't see any club signing him next year on 6.82 when you look at some of the other riders available on less.
