The reality is the SCB have been utterly inept in this matter, were desperately hoping for a result that meant it was irrelevant and have now been left with egg on their face. Another farce for the sport. Think about it. People believe Poole are not true champion because in one ride they got a 5-1 with one rider not wearing goggles. Just to draw attention away from Gogglegate, there is one aspect that is worth mentioning. Did the BEST side win ? The big difference between the two sides was the performance of the reserves. Otherwise Belle Vue would have won by a stretch. Surely situations such as this show the weakness of the NL draft, where depending on who you can get your hands on, can have a big say in claiming the title ?
