Lakeside V Leicester 1st April

Recommended Posts

This could be an interesting meeting- Ellis is riding in place of Auty (I believe). Despite his experience of the track, Adam didn't score too well last season.

Hopefully Mear will continue his staggering form and Kerr will get dialled in. We should outscore them in the body of the team, so can't see beyond a reasonably comfortable home win by 10.

Up the Hammers!

They beat Kings Lynn by 20 so should be aiming to do at least as well if not better against the Lions.

Can't understand why Adam would take a guest booking at a track he was so desperate to get away from, after all it was not the club he had an issue with just the track itself, so we are told.

I agree with Liam, I think we will be pushing the sixty point mark, just hope the crowd does not suffer too much as its not an attractive fixture with the team Leicester has, but to be fair, home fans probably same the same when Lakeside travel away.

Don't think there's that much difference in the teams... But at lakeside you have a huge home advantage, especially with several track specialists. Expect Swiderski to complete the ultimate kick in the teeth and score a paid maximum (after riding worse than post digested dog food in lions kevlars last season). Can't see anything but an embarrassingly big home win

Poole are due at Lakeside the following week so Adam Ellis will be getting some useful track time in readiness for 8 April.

Pretend I've been living on the moon, when was the 8 day rule for guest riders abolished?

If Adam Ellis scores well in the next two fixtures at Lakeside then it will simply confirm what I have thought for much of the last two seasons.

That being that he was not applying himself correctly and putting in the necessary work to master a track that should have been his bread and butter.

That rule was amended some time ago to cover guest appearances only.

Or maybe the fact he's now working for a confident, efficient team manager that actually knows what he's doing; sets high standards and ensures that riders achieve their potential?
