Bspa Need To Call An Extraordinary Meeting, Make Changes Now!

Recommended Posts

Absolutely no way should rules and regulations be changed mid season.

Some teams did their homework right in the close season and others didn't or didn't have a good EDR draw.

Tough.

Teams have suffered year after year by the inequality of the rules so this year is no different to any recent season.

Get the rules and regs right BEFORE the season starts - not during .

Those who are having a tough time at the moment are no better or worse than any other team that has suffered in the past.

Get back to 7 EL riders and the old format it was NEVER about developing riders more quickly, just the money being saved while short changing fans wanting to watch EL s/way it's a complete joke .

At least the EL made an effort for the future no matter what the reasons.

It's only the PL that couldn't care less on that front.

And here lies the problem, the lunatics shouldn't be running the asylum. An independent governing body should be saying, "here are the rules, you all need to play by them."

The EL race format isn't very good and having a different race format for EL and PL/NL is also tinpot, like having a football match in the Championship played over 80 minutes rather than 90 at Premier League level.

Didn't Formula 1 change the qualifying rules cos they didn't work?

They changed because their new formula was sending the public to sleep and the commentators were nearly put in a coma.

A transparent agm is whats needed ,so we the fans know which promoter dreampt up this idea and which promoters backed him and voted it in , we could then name and shame , and all the negativity would make them stop and think before they vote for something stupid next time

would a promoter be more or less likely to draft a rule in his name when us the fans would know it was his idea?

Never happen....

Changes to regulations are not even announced to the public never mind who has put the change forward and it's backers...

The reason is simple....

Anytime a new regulation is announced on here, within minutes, several posters will have dissected it and delivered every obvious pitfall, loophole, and ill thought out detail...

When you make so many mistakes it is far better to hide behind a collective anonymity.,.

For the past two seasons a lot of fans were criticising the EL for keeping reserves at reserve all season. Now fans are criticising the EL for moving reserves up and down.

Any second string / heat leader moving to reserve in the next month who dominates scoring from that position will move up again, any reserve moving up to the heat leader slot may struggle and move down.

Swings and roundabouts. Just deal with the situation.

Rules cant be changed mid season. Oh wait, they did it to make sure Poole didn't make the playoffs a few years ago.......

The PL reserve rule was changed mid season effecting Rye House and Mildenhall, 2006 I think it was. Don't turn this into an anti Poole thing.

No, it was grading. Mildenhall had Armstrong and rye house had box all, both were scoring a bucket load

As I recall, the rule was British reserves would stay at reserve for the season. About May/June Boxall was averaging around 8 points, Armstrong over 7, so the BSPA abandoned that idea!

Someone's bound to correct some or all of that, my memory ain't what it was!!

Correct Shads Rye being one of the the few teams to promote young GB riders were stuffed well and truly.

As I recall we had Boxall riding like a heat leader having made rapid strides and Bowen who came up from the Raiders

His points return at home was exceeding expectations until he had that terrible crash and broken leg.

Whats wrong with having good riders down at reserve, surely it shows the strength of the league?
