Super Blue 616 Posted May 17, 2016 Well it's time the Witches started to get a few points on the board in the Premier League and I think this is the meeting to do it in. Will Ollie, the new recruit manage to score a few, will the new riding order make a difference, will the track be any good, will Danny get his arse in gear and score like we know he should be doing? If not I can see us staring at yet another defeat in the face! Just a few of the questions crossing my mind and I'm sure others as well. It's certainly not the strongest Monarch's side I've ever seen and I would like to think comparing man for man that a home win is on the cards but as we all know the Foxhall track and the Witches are very much an enigma this season so anything is possible! Suppose we'll know sometime after 9-00pm on Thursday. Here's hoping.
Super Blue 616 Posted May 17, 2016 Witches by 20 I like your optimism with the way we've been riding lately.
ekimba 319 Posted May 17, 2016 Witches by 20 Nearly choked on ma Haggis there depending on what team we manage to put out I will say witches will win by between 2 and 10. if full strength then we could sneak a win, as the witches are so down at the moment
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv 10,706 Posted May 17, 2016 Witches win but Edinburgh to get a point 48-
TheScotsman 2,483 Posted May 17, 2016 Given how bashed up our team is Ippo should be hitting 60+. But as it's Ippo, maybe that'll be nearer 50.
Baldyman 6,243 Posted May 17, 2016 Exactly, your team is very bashed up. All we need to do is stop smiler winning races and then it will be like taking candy from a blind man.
TheScotsman 2,483 Posted May 17, 2016 (edited) Erik is out so only jye and the reserves eligible for his r/r rides. So no excuses for ippo not to hit 60+. I'm gutted for the lad. That meeting should never have started. Disappointed for myself too - he is great entertainment, just like covatti. Reckon he'll miss Rye on Sunday too. 2ndbendbeerhut 1,781 Posted May 17, 2016 Teams anyone? Witches King Kerr Risager Sarjeant Covatti Castagna Greenwood Edinburgh ? Wonder how long before Chris Louis does the following? "For the best speedway supporters in the world, we need a 8th man. Where are you? Where are you? Let's be 'aving you. Come on!"
GWC 495 Posted May 17, 2016 The Risager and Sargeant pairing looks a bit suspect
Baldyman 6,243 Posted May 17, 2016 So was the risager and kerr one and king sarjent one..so it's worth a try.
Mr Blobby 2,662 Posted May 17, 2016 Was going to witches by 10 but now Erik is out. Witches by 18.
TheScotsman 2,483 Posted May 18, 2016 I think the loss of Erik is worth a fair bit more than 8 points Mr. B.

crazysue 613 Posted May 18, 2016 I'm going to go with my normal pessimistic view, it has worked for me so well in the past. I always struggle when we ride against Edinburgh, back in our Elite days Edinburgh was my PL team as a nod to my half Scottish heritage so I generally find myself shouting on both teams! I usually end up a very confuzzled Crazyone (or should that be Boringone?)
