Well if Flange walked straight in it couldn't have been that big...

It was a very good crowd

Same could be said for so, so many others too Steve...

For a sport that invariably has just one team, and no other allowed, within around 30 miles or so it really does under sell itself

A virtual monopoly of the local conurbations in many areas around the country yet 0.1%, or even much less, of those people who dwell there attend...

Still, on the positive side, it means clubs have a huge potential market on their doorsteps should they ever get the sport marketed right and their own teams brand in the consciousness of the locals.

Unfortunately in India and Pakistan they love their Cricket

When you consider the millions of people that live in the area, they should have crowds far bigger than most other clubs.

Thats true in one sense in another we have two premier league teams, numerous lower league teams, county cricket, rugby league, the national cycling centre, boxing at the arena, etc, far more competetion than where most teams are situated.

I once presumed that the 'Tamil Tigers' must be a sub continent Speedway team.....!!!

Disappointed to only see a couple of Lakeside fans there. I know its a long way (we have to do it on a Friday!) but thought on a Saturday with great weather quite a few would have come up.

Not being funny but how would you know if someone was a Lakeside fan or not?

I was in the west stand, but ended up cheering Stevie Worrall most of the time 😀

Can't believe some are saying the racing wasn't as good as v Coventry - must've been some meeting, because it was superb last night; would've been lauded at any other track

Sods law when Poole ride the A fixture it will be a Monday night meeting meaning we will only bring up a handfull.

For the bank holiday meeting a few of us are looking into flying up from Southampton to Manchester. How easy would it be to get from Manchester airport to the track? How far is it? Think the B fixture is afternoon meeting meaning we could fly up, watch the meeting then head back to the airport for an evening return.

Great to read to enjoyed last night's match, was only post-interval where the Aces got away. Really enjoyable meeting last night, but the Coventry match was better, hope it finds it's way online sometime, a must watch.

About 10 miles from the airport to NSS, a group of you in a minibus it'll be cheap as chips.

That meeting starts at 12.00. Its about 10 mile drive from airport to track, don't know how much that would cost in a taxi, Can get train from airport to Manchester Piccadilly and the bus to Belle Vue. Would take 45 mins according to google

If you choose this option when you get of the train go out by the front entrance, head for piccadilly you will find the 203 bus stop just before entering Piccadilly Gardens (there is a Cycle Republic store right opposite the bus stop). Ask the driver to put you off at the Showcase Cinema complex (buy a day rider ticket for £4 its cheaper), the Stadium is at the back and can be found by walking through the Cinema car park.
