Skidder1 7,637 Posted July 9, 2016 (edited) After 6 weeks of no racing, I would hope and expect that the track has had some serious work done and there should be no issues with it There were no issues with the track against Swindon on 1st June - smooth as you like for both teams and no blue groove either/. The track was bladed and got sorted the day after the BV defeat!! Poole's riders have been generally scoring well in all their other fixtures, so I reckon a 10 point win even though Lakey have been a bit of a bogey team in the past!! Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted July 10, 2016 Adam Ellis riding in Marmande in France on the 13th. Why would riding in France come before a league meeting?
Jonny the spud 2,281 Posted July 10, 2016 because it was a pre arranged meeting that is important for his sponsors in France
Skidder1 7,637 Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) Kennett and Bridger at 2 & 4 could well put Poole's 2nd strings under a bit of pressure - especially if its r/r for Ellis, although Poole can use Buzz, Brady, Bjarne and whoever is guest for Kyle Newman if Poole do get a facility?!?! Steve0 5,517 Posted July 10, 2016 Kennett and Bridger at 2 & 4 could well put Poole's 2nd strings under a bit of pressure - especially if its r/r for Ellis, although Poole can use Buzz, Brady, Bjarne and whoever is guest for Kyle Newman if Poole do get a facility?!?! Why would Poole get a facility for an EDR? It has already been shown that if an EDR in the top 5 is out - he is still an EDR and subject to the replacement rules for them - not a 1-5 rider.

Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) Rules don't allow RR for Ellis. It has to be a guest from FTD. When is Newman due back? Spoke briefly to Kyle in Cardiff. On the mend and really annoyed to be missing. Said he just got ploughed into. Said if it happened two weeks earlier he wouldn't have missed much. At least two maybe three weeks away from a return. The Voice Of Reason 2,124 Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) It will go the way of the majority of our other away performances over the past 4-5 years: - Start pretty well whilst keeping it close. - Maybe even have a couple of points lead by Heat 6(ish). - After the interval, (Spin) Doctor Cook & Mr. Motivator Tatum will have run out of travel sickness pills. - We will subsequently collapse from thereon in.........generally losing by something around 12 - 14 points. The following day, our website will communicate how "it was a disappointing result" that "we must improve our away performances" but "riders will be spoken to" and no doubt "we realise that to keep our play-off hopes alive, we need to pick up points on the road" (10/10 for stating the bleedin obvious)! Different month, different away track.........same utter management drivel. But no doubt, we aren't the only team in that position. tocha 308 Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) According to the European Speedway Calendar the Polish (NICE) division 1 has a full racing programme on Wednesday which, on the face of it, rules out Andersen, Pedersen and Kurtz for Poole. Possibly this was the reason for the original fixture having been scheduled for today. http://speedwayekstraliga.pl/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/2016-Approved-International-Speedway-League-Calendar-24.02.2016.pdf Edited July 11, 2016 by tocha
