Very warm day, 22c to 26c by teatime, then heavy showers developing into thunderstorms, clearing Vastervik by 9.30pm/10pm..

 

Not the best forecast, but, thunderstorms can be very localised and erratic, could hit the track, one after another, or they all could miss the track by a couple of miles...

For me Australia might be slight favourites for this one over Sweden. USA might finish third due to Greg Hancock points, but if he has an average meeting which will be unusual in the SWC then Germany will be heading to Belle Vue.

Obviously deemed not good enough.Bit of a worry for the American system which has trumpeted its youth development ( well Pearson regularly does ) to have to go back to the old guard. Not sure if the older guard of Bobby Schwartz and Shawn McConnell were available

Having purchased tickets for the Race-off & final. I hope the Aussie's can get the win here, Sweden V Denmark on the Friday will make it a better meeting. I'm far from convinced Greg's points will be enough to make the race off for the US. That is a decent German line-up.

Where are the youngsters that have been around last couple of years?

They appear to be doing fine. Looking at US domestic results it is noticible that the younger brigade (Luke Becker[17], Max Ruml[19], Dillon Ruml[17], Broc Nicol[18] in particular) are now filling most of the places in the scratch main finals.

Yet there is none in the PL or in Europe...

Perhaps because:

 

1] They are still at school

2] it's a long way across the Atlantic

3] they want to get enough experience so that they are well prepared when they do come over

 

After all how many teenage Danes and Swedes can you name who are riding in Britain?

 

Dillon Ruml and Luke Becker are younger than British talents like Jack Smith and Zach Wajtknecht and over a year younger than Dmitri Berge who is currently the youngest foreigner riding regularly in Britain (based on a quick scan - it is possible I may have missed someone)

If them kids are good enough why in gods earth is Janniero riding tomorrow? Hardly giving the kids a chance it's the perfect time for someone like Ruml to ride surely he's better than Janniero?

Ruml was used last season by USA at King's Lynn. Should have gone with him again unless the financial situation had changed
