So Who Is Going To Win The El In 2016?

Recommended Posts

Of course Belle Vue are Favourites! They are on great form, almost unbeatable and miles clear at the top of the league! What part of "best team this year" don't you understand?

They are clear favourites. Anyone with an ounce of knowledge about the sport knows this. Its not even up for debate. A

No they are joint favourites with Poole ...so not clear favourites ...it's amazing every year you never quite understand that the bookies decide who the Favourites are .

Even for you Steve it's get's quite boring trying to make out Poole are massive underdogs each year before they win another league title and you claim a massive shock win .

Poole have bigger home advantage, better reserves and more experience of winning Play Off finals than Belle Vue so it's theirs to lose. Think most neutrals will be behind the Aces though. Wolves have a good chance if Woffy returns although their reserves are poor.

Belle vue are clear favourites for the title. Only a pea brain would disagree.

Really dont see how Poole are favourites for the title.

Belle Vue have been the inform team this season and are pulling away at the top of the table taking away wins everywhere, and the bookies have bv joint favs with Poole atm. Its only going on past years that Poole are joint favs, imo from May-ish onwards they havent been too impressive.

Id put my money on Bv as it stands

Everyone can see Poole are still the overwhelming favourites due, in the main and deservingly so, to the significant advantage they gleaned from the rules regarding reserve picks at the start of the year..

However, last year they did let slip a large lead in the final at BV before just managing to scrape over the line on home shale, so when under pressure there is a precedent that they can wobble. (And who will ever forget Cov beating them?)

And this year dont forget there is no Magic to steady the Pirate ship like he did last...

Their nearest challenger I would suggest are the Aces but with still no clear home track advantage in what becomes effectively a home and away knockout cup they could be vulnerable in the play off..

Poole's to lose for me and would be a poor year for them really if they don't win it, especially when you put their team up against the others at the start of the season..

Well well well just waiting for Shovlar to have a go at all the other people who know Poole are favourites. Typical trolling thread from Shovlar. As everyone has said if Poole don't win its a huge shock

So by your logic Belle Vue have fluked their dominant position, with a thumping win at Poole along the way, winning at second placed Wolves, being miles clear at the top and with an unassailable lead, yet Poole are favourites to still win.

Yep. Gavan logic. 😆😆

Don't know how peeps can say the aces are weak at home when they have only lost one home match, to the Swindon Roobins, Christ knows how they won that!

It's more that BV haven't really been giving anyone a thrashing at home yet - mind you, 56 vs Wolves wasn't bad! But then on the other hand I think BV have score 40 away from home in all but 1 away meeting (at Lakeside in May this season) now for what will be 2 whole years by this weekend - thats a phenomenal away record really.

poole not favourites - jog on ....

how many points they score tonite 64??

those trolls that have pointed to the fact belle vue beat poole at home - stop trolling cuz at the time u was saying it was the track being too grippy for poole riders and also the fact that buzz was missing

You are absolutely right - just about everyone outside Poole would love BV to win rather than Poole - so that makes them a favourite - petit pois brain!

With JK now sacked at Wolves and it looking like Tai could be replacing him, I wouldn't rule them out now either

Source?

Kylmakorpi said himself on twitter about 10 mins ago that he won't be finishing the season with Wolves, which points some towards woffinden coming back.

BV have the strongest team on paper, will always have a decent reserve & 2nd strings. If Tai is at wolves then they will be very close to BV. Those are my two picks
