Belle Vue V Poole Elb 12/09/16 Sky Meeting

Recommended Posts

He scored 14 which is good but that was from 6 rides and one was a tactical ride which makes points more. So take away double points it would be 12 from 6 rides.

Max scored 10 from 5 rides last time

No much different then.

All the talk of BV being strengthened but let's not forget the only time Tungate rode our track he scored 15+2 from 6 rides... Poole definitely strengthened!

Only got 3 last night so his form has dropped a bit!

Rohan will doubtless be testing things when he guests on Monday, in readiness for his more important meeting 2 days later.

So I don't expect a huge score from him - but all Pirates now have some experience of the NSS track so should make for an interesting meeting.

(ps. Tungate only on 'standby' for Poole's meeting the following night at the AF Arena)

Here's an idea. Promoters should kid fans that they have signed all the top riders to race for our clubs in the 2017 season, but then say they can't use them as they are riding somewhere else that night and will have to use a stand-in. Supporters will sleep in the belief that the real stars have returned.

Afterall, many don't notice... or even care. The whole sport is tootling along in this country, and a stadium that can race on any day it wishes chooses to put a match on in which one of its riders is elsewhere.

Let's just get it on tonight; tomorrow will look after itself.

If he rode for Swindon at Belle Vue he wouldn't be able to guest for Poole two days later

So how come Paddy can guest ride for Belle Vue 5 days after riding for his own club Leicester at Belle Vue ???

It is a standard bsf rule that Belle Vue are always strengthened by a guest or rr while every other team is weakened, swapping our best home rider for a rider who would be at reserve for us and using the reserves to replace a rider someone considered good enough for the GB swc team obviously makes us a lot stronger.

Big blow for Poole having to swap a rider who scored 6 from 5 on his last visit with one who scored paid 17 on his last visit! Hardly worth Poole bothering in the circumstances, lol!

That rider that got paid 17 got 3 last night. I think his form has dropped a bit! That rider that i considered should be in the SWC team hasn't exactly hit much form at home so i was wrong on that one. Paddy got paid 14 last night although i recognise he isn't as good as Fricke. On the plus side for your team is the form of Jacobs so having to use a reserve for a r/r isn't too bad. I am not saying you are strengthened and neither is Poole.

Because, believe it or not, the 8 day rule does not apply to the home team.

Not the greatest of guest bookings then by Middlo or MF or both!! :o

The league favourites Belle Vue have got the perfect guest in Hougaard who boosts their team strength somewhat. Hougaard is certainly better than Fricke around BV as anyone with an ounce of speedway knowledge can see.

Just waiting for Palm Toft to come in now to replace Richie Worrall.

It really does seem this Gavan chap is determined to make a pillock of himself on every single Poole theead. Admire his determination to do it though.

Laughable you think Hougaard is better that Fricke.......you need to get more knowledge of the sport before you make stupid trolling comments pal.

No doubts belle vue are weakened without fricke and nicholls. Paddy is a good guest but Fricke is superb round belle vue.

Of course they are weakened anyone with any common sense can see that

Missing our best rider in Max and the Captain Scott makes us considerably weaker.

We had 7.50 to fill Max's spot but we've remained loyal to our assets and gone with Patrick on his low 6.30 average. That would normally put him a reserve for us using current green sheets. Having to use mainly reserves to cover Scott only increases the pressure.

The final nail in our coffin is Mr Paid Seventeen Tungate, an astute horses for courses pick from Ford.

Poole by 7, unfortunately.

Just thought is Partrick in place of Max as his average is so low he could replace Scott and we could run R/R for Max with everyone taking a ride?

Might save our bacon.

Great choice of guest for Poole in Tungate who got paid 17 last time where as Hans got 6. Swings this match hugely into Pooles favour. Unless Middlo has an issue getting Tungate motivated

Because, believe it or not, the 8 day rule does not apply to the home team.

And believe it or not Belle Vue are not favourites for the title they are joint with Poole at 15/8 but hey when have you ever had any knowledge pal!

And didnt Belle Vue recently get beat by Kings Lynn at home missing their number 1 when Fricke was missing??

If Lynn can win there then so should Poole especially getting track specialist Tungate to ride rather than 'white line' Hans

Yes it does. It doesn't apply to the home No.1

Because as you say he was riding for his own club last night, not guesting.

BV probably were complacent against them, which no team is against Poole unfortunately.

Nothing to do with complacency. More to do with riders making a statement.

The '8-day' rule is surely to stop a rider guesting at the same track more than once in any 8-day period - unless its for your number 1.
