BWitcher 12,453 Posted April 29, 2017 "Top" riders don't make for "top" racing Yes they do, they make for the very best racing on decent tracks. Official scores are way wrong . Greg got an extra point despite being last . Monster Joe says Greg gets a pt just for riding
Mark 1,497 Posted April 29, 2017 I think the track was OK last year but this is dire racing. I use racing loosely as its follow the leader after one bend No doubt Philip Morris will blame the rain but no excuse for having a rough and over watered track. Hancock didn't fancy the rough stuff on bend 1 in Ht9 and turned off the gas. Woofy riding very well in his first meeting of the year.
Midland Red 2,383 Posted April 29, 2017 So who's in the points Not sure, but Greg Hancock is 46 And Emil just had his first heat win back in the GPs

Leicester Lion 274 Posted April 29, 2017 We didn't have to wait long for an inconsistent warning decision.

BWitcher 12,453 Posted April 29, 2017 (edited) Doyle and vaculik both on warning , woffinden twice jumps the start and no warning Woffinden hasn't jumped the start once actually, he tried and failed. He punished himself both times, rather than gain an advantage and cause the race to be stopped... which is what the warning is for. Spot the monster rider Spot the folks not grasping the rule. Perton Wolf 396 Posted April 29, 2017 The racing has got slightly better as the meeting has gone on but it's still pretty crap.
False dawn 2,298 Posted April 29, 2017 (edited) Gate 4 - 13 points from 16 races (no wins need I say). A graveyard P.S. I don't think the riders need a spreadsheet to know not to pick that one! Edited April 29, 2017 by False dawn
BWitcher 12,453 Posted April 29, 2017 Nicholls another who doesn't understand the new rule. The rule is for delaying the start. As such, if you move, lose out and the race isn't stopped you have not delayed the start. Simple. In the second case.. Tai moves, then Vaculik goes.. had Vaculik touched the tapes, he would be excluded, that has always been the case. Again, the race wasn't stopped because Tai moved, it was stopped because Vaculik got a flyer. So he was correctly warned.
