False dawn 2,298 Posted June 24, 2017 Using historic gate stats on one of track is always dangerous. They often swing from one extreme to the other rather that replicate last years. I watched a meeting at Peterborough recently and, from memory, gate 3 was a massive advantage. Had won more than the other 3 put together. So I went down to the start line to inspect the condition of the track. Guess what? All 4 gates looked identical. I think Excel tells us more about track conditions than the amount of shale in place. I'm still a student of statistics and my own analysis is a strong indication as to what might happen. But riders defy the stats every meeting I go to. And long may it be so. P.S. I'll post the 2016 vs 2017 stats at the end of the meeting
PHILIPRISING 7,298 Posted June 24, 2017 We had decent racing in first 4 heats , I know let's flood the track for heat 5 AGREE
False dawn 2,298 Posted June 24, 2017 P.S. I'll post the 2016 vs 2017 stats at the end of the meeting interim report..... Gates 1-3 have won 5 races between them. Gate 4 has won 7. I love it.
Triple.H. 1,986 Posted June 24, 2017 (edited) Are my eyes playing up or has Sajfudtinov obliterated one of the sponsors on his racejacket Just seen it now it's a retaining strap for his neckbrace. Not good for the particular sponsor who's name or company logo can't be seen though. As the riders coming to the start is probably the best opportunity for racejacket sponsors to be seen Edited June 24, 2017 by Triple.H.
False dawn 2,298 Posted June 24, 2017 Chris H got a last in his last race and he's in gate 4 this time out. Any predictions? Gate 3 is a graveyard
Leicester Lion 274 Posted June 24, 2017 It's an interesting battle between Tatum and Pearson to use the "coming on strong" cliché.

paulboy 169 Posted June 24, 2017 Does Pearson get paid for each time he shouts whoooo or get out of the way? And how can the other muppet suggest Emil should be excluded for that?
