stevebrum 6,821 Posted August 21, 2017 How have Leicester got a facility for Pawel P, when he rode yesterday for Torun? Perfectly fine. Medically he is unable to fly due to his surgery.
Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted August 21, 2017 (edited) The scoreline doesn't reflect the actual meeting which was very enjoyable. Played out in front of a bigger than expected crowd Pirates put the past to bed for the time being with back to back wins and this one built on the confidence boosting win last week over Wolves. On a very good track the meeting had lots of battles and passing. Step forward Timo Lahti who finally brought his A game to the party and produced a very good performance in gating and passing. Rider of the night. But nearly the whole team were much improved. OK Leicester are the whipping boys of the league but a few weeks ago they could have run us close. For Poole: Brady was excellent. Holder back to his best. Lahti had his best performance for Poole. MOTM. Kennett started poorly on slow bikes but improved as the meeting went on. Andersen refused to leave the inside line for his forst 3 rides. Finally moved out in his last. Could have done better earlier on. Starke got a big elbow in his first and blew his second but got better. Shanes again had some great battles and beat his mate Newman. Good stuff. For Leicester: Nilsson was pretty woeful. Not fit? Riss flattered to deceive. Expected more. Bjerre gated twice. Got passed in his others. Tried hard. King was good value. Some good passing. Bates had a good opener but that was about it bar the odd point. Newman tried all night and had a big off in his last which he walked away from. So Poole still have a grip on 4th but need an away win to keep hold of it, or Swindon to win at Rye House. Whatever happens if Belle Vue win at Poole next Monday our chance of 4th will be blown out of the water. Edited August 21, 2017 by Steve Shovlar

Starman2006 2,354 Posted August 21, 2017 That all said Steve, they'l be some grim faces on this forum if we came back and won it.. Poor old Gav would throw himself off the highest building in Essex. How have Leicester got a facility for Pawel P, when he rode yesterday for Torun? And they moan about us..

Pirate Baz 218 Posted August 22, 2017 Should be a big crowd for the relegation race off decider. Think that may be "out of the window" now as the Play off Finals have been brought forward to the dates set for that. The scoreline doesn't reflect the actual meeting which was very enjoyable. Most races settled by the back straight on lap one though Steve. Not much passing.
poole keith 911 Posted August 22, 2017 lahti now at reserve, would he be there for the play-offs should we qualify??

Gavan 5,050 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) King? Shanes? Lahti? Obviously the guy doing the updates had a different opinion to you. As Pirate Baz says the only passing seemed to be coming out of the second bend down the backstraight, which appeared to happen twice. Other than that every race says from the gate unless a rider made a mistake Only 2 passes on updates, Lahti on Riss in heat 3 and King on Lahti in heat 15 Edited August 22, 2017 by Gavan

Far superior to the dirge served up on TV last night. Perhaps you should venture down to support the team whose threads you spend so much time on. Skidder1 7,637 Posted August 22, 2017 So with official averages being updated every 2 weeks, Timo's new average of 4.44 from 23/08/17 comes into effect for the final run of league fixtures. Assuming Timo manages to 'do a Klindt' at reserve, I think that'll mean he's likely to be back in the 1-5 for the play-offs - assuming we get there. He was certainly on the pace last night, finally!!
