THE DEAN MACHINE 4,755 Posted September 19, 2017 Looks like we're still going the other way, latest must have piece of kit is the Karger digital ignition, that's going g to cost a few grand to put on all a Riders bikes.i believe this was used at the start of the year and the SCB banned it
Lord Skid 425 Posted September 19, 2017 Can't see anything in the SCB regs, even data logging is legal now.
PHILIPRISING 7,298 Posted September 19, 2017 HEARING that Mondays and Thursday for the Premiership is pretty much a done deal. No idea who will be in it and how many tracks are in danger of closing but there are at least two all but on the chopping block. Fingers crossed that they survive. PHILIPRISING 7,298 Posted September 19, 2017 DON'T think tracks in danger of closing is because of race nights. No offers for Birmingham so far and Workington's problems have been well documented.
Triple.H. 1,986 Posted September 19, 2017 (edited) Couldn't Cradley move to Birmingham ? A mix of hopefully both teams supporters could go a long way to getting Cradley back home and a lifeline for someone to take over Birmingham  Ok I'll admit it I'm delusional Edited September 19, 2017 by Triple.H. Bald Bloke 3,287 Posted September 19, 2017 the poles have been using advance and retard mechanisms of one sort or another for a few years , now advance and retard is hidden inside the plastic shell of Motoplat, selltra and PVL , a bit difficult to detect really ,................. Unless of course a rider has power and speed when everyone else is struggling .. How does a rider alter it on the fly,or is it altered by an ECU

speedibee 3,091 Posted September 19, 2017 How does a rider alter it on the fly,or is it altered by an ECU originally the poles had a switch concealed . until martin smolinski revealed the magic button thinking he had done nothing wrong . but the new ignitions just have the advance and retard built in . I think it can be programmed with a laptop as well , It's the same system as fitted to trials bikes and Mx bikes

greyhoundp 990 Posted September 20, 2017 DON'T think Cradley's previous use of Birmingham worked out very well. Â Cradley have never been promoters at Birmingham in recent years, however one of our management team has. I think it could be worthwhile Cradley taking on running from Perry Barr in the short term, however whats the situation with regard buying Birmingham ?, why would the Cradley promotion need to buy out Birmingham when they only really want to run Cradley. Im sure some sort of agreement could be reached as it seems a little bit silly to lose two teams when they both have enough support to run at least NL racing. bruno 1,790 Posted September 20, 2017 I really don't think we could run at Perry Barr without the Brummies being main residents and call ourself Cradley. Just wouldn't sit right for some reason and I don't think enough of us would keep going there. Funnily enough though I think it would work at Monmore without the Wolves. Monmore seems more like home for some reason. Never thought I'd say that years ago
speedibee 3,091 Posted September 20, 2017 A laptop during a race? yes they stuff them up their suits , they look like the airbags so non-one suspects
E I Addio 15,845 Posted September 20, 2017 DON'T think tracks in danger of closing is because of race nights. No offers for Birmingham so far and Workington's problems have been well documented. Perhaps not just because of race nights but with the dire financial situation and falling attendances last year it could be the last straw that breaks the camels back for one or two or more likely prevent others coming up to the Premiership, so again we will be stuck with, at best a bare minimum of teams in the top, league and great gaps between meetings.
