LagutaRacingFan 1,936 Posted October 9, 2017 So Panthers get fined £40k for letting Jack Holder miss a meeting, Leicester get no fine for letting Pawel miss this meeting. Would love to see this stand up in a court of law!
RS50 359 Posted October 9, 2017 simple---just dont tell them, its 7 riders and againts 7 riders Actually it is 6 against 6. Second leg called off already, due to a forecast of rain. Just looked at BBC forecast. Not too much rain forecast for Leicester Wednesday (roughly about the same amount as for next Monday the re-staging date).. stevethelion 192 Posted October 9, 2017 Second leg now clashes with Leicester City's home match with WBA, which is on SKY, so won't be much of a crowd at BP next Monday.
Tigerblade 221 Posted October 9, 2017 . You've got both promotions giving almost identical press releases and all of a sudden somebody called Marc Bates (who he?) appears claiming to be a co-promoter! Any fan that attends either of these 2 meetings is a mug and is being taken for one. Where's the transparency? Damien's brother.
Tonga 53 Posted October 9, 2017 Can't see sheffield winning tonight, reserves will get mullered and can't see Nichols doing much. Best of luck to both teams and stay safe as the KOC against Ippo on Thursday is more important
The SAINT 78 Posted October 9, 2017 So Panthers get fined £40k for letting Jack Holder miss a meeting, Leicester get no fine for letting Pawel miss this meeting. Would love to see this stand up in a court of law! totally different circumstances surely? pawel is obviously not bothering to ride over here again this year and is withholding his services... holder was wanting to ride over here for the rest of the season (so couldn't withhold his services without a ban) so the promoter took the bung/bribe (from poland) and the punishment instead
flagrag 704 Posted October 9, 2017 Marc Bates is the Leicester co Promotor and has been since July he works along side Neil Machin & Dave Darcy. It seems pretty clear that Pawel will get a ban for not riding at Sheffield tonight unless a medical certificate can be provided

screm 8,057 Posted October 9, 2017 While I`ve no doubt that the good people of BT Sport will hype this meeting up to an inch of its life most of us know that as far as relegation.promotion is concerned its a bit of a non starter.
Steve55 340 Posted October 9, 2017 Relegation/promotion, what a load of rubbish, all Sheffield have to do is ask and they'll be welcomed to the top league with open arms. Lakeside coming from the National to the premiership makes a total mockery of these two meetings.

Lakeside coming from the National to the premiership makes a total mockery of these two meetings. The Lakeside situation isnt a mockery. They were an established top flight team with a top flight licence which has been 'on ice' this year whilst certain matters were sorted. They raced in the NL to maintain a prescence and are perfectly entitled to retake their place in the top flight. Dont disagree that the promotion/relegation tie could be described as a mockery though.
