Incorrect just assumed there was polish fixtures on without actually checking when I probably should’ve done. But if you want to assume it’s a anti Glasgow thing feel free. teijahn 8 Posted August 2, 2018 Anyone know the facts as to why Troy Batchelor was not selected in the Aussie team. On form should have been second choice behind Doyley in the original team.

Doyley and Nick Morris are injured, but Lemo was still spoiled for choice. The team would be no weaker, no stronger if Batch, Josh G or Proctor were included, but he's gone for younger riders behind Chris. Go Aussie, go!
Gr8scot 589 Posted August 3, 2018 I’m really looking forward to this meeting. A line up like this in Scotland is fantastic. Plaudits to Glasgow and organisers Now..... who to support? Team GB obviously but so many individual favourites...... got our tickets, bring it on

Call me cynical but this surely has to be about 'buying a meeting' rather than a real Test Match? The Glasgow Promotion is owned by Allied Vehicles who sponsored Team GB in the recent Speedway of Nations so surely this has got to be some sort of payback along with the fact that 5 out of the 12 riders involved ride for BV and the other major sponsor for this meeting just happens to be BV's major sponsor or 'partner'. As a SPEEDWAY fan based in Scotland I was looking forward to a meeting with big names but even now 5 of the 6 GB riders double down in the CL anyway but the fact this is so commercialised has put me off going especially with the fact there is a booking fee for advanced tickets. Speedway fails yet again. Don't go then. We've been asking for the return of internationals for a while now, and this is a good start. If the interest is there and it can be viable then I hope it will lead to more next season and if we can get some sort of Speedway Ashes going it might even generate TV money. Shame Australia have lost a rider for Polish practice. I don't blame the rider if they pay his wages, but something stinks, surely a better level of practice is riding international competition. Phil The Ace 2,860 Posted August 3, 2018 No tungate now as his polish club have demanded he turns up for practice. Yes that's right practice!!!!!!!

Speedway fails yet again. Sponsors put money into many sports but they expect some return on there investment. If this sponsor wants a meeting at Glasgow so what, there are no negatives ? The fans get to see a good match with the 2019 WC leader makinga rare appearance and Glasgow get some great publicity for there sponsorship money. You don't have to go.
Bagpuss 10,780 Posted August 3, 2018 Absolute p!ss take. The FIM should step in. Can you imagine a UK club demanding that a Polish rider practices over here rather than represent their country? Ridiculous.

It is a hastily arranged meeting.Basically an unofficial challenge.Polish clubs pay the dough,so call the shots. It is a problem the Bundesliga have had for years
