Already Smith, Bailey & Kemp have all suggested this.

Not going to disagree there, which is why the rules need to be introduced before the season not after. Averages should have been set for 2020 already, definitely wrong that riders who succeeded get squeezed out and riders who sat a year out now appear attractive signings. I think in the short term the lower limit will appear to produce a selection of competitive teams across the board and slightly long term be a disaster that needs scrapping but will then be too late. It was a bit difficult to get committed to what we did last year but it was enjoyable to see some very good youngsters develop their careers. Good to have a team of our own again. Hope it works out successfully. Ommer em Cradley What's the current situation with new track? As an Ipswich fan we've got kings Lynn back we just need you lot back in the top flight now, surely there must be somewhere in the black country available. Its almost impossible to find a suitable plot of land, We have searched tirelessly over the past two years, going over sites that have been disregarded in the past, trying for new sites, and we have ended up with a couple of sites that we are waiting for the Council to come back with there officers opinions on suitability. There is no way any Speedway Team in the country can afford to buy land, so we can only lease any suitable site, there are very few if any landowners that will lease sites for the rental thats affordable by Speedway teams, and thats the big problem, it only leaves us with Council owned land thats being unused or under used, and finding that land not near to houses is nigh on impossible. That leaves us with Greenbelt land, which brings us back to the first problem of cost. Just over 12 months ago we had very high hopes for one particular site, that was blown out of the water by a previously unknown purchase option on the land which very few people knew about, that site is now having a planning application submitted in the next few months for retail development. So to summarise not looking great unless a sugar daddy comes forward to buy 5 or so acres of Brown/Greenfield land, but with the state of British Speedway that seems a forlorn hope.. Drew Kemp has already signed for Sheffield and also like likely to sign for Ipswich. Hard to feel sorry for him if he already has two teams. Both of the other riders are also riding in the Championship, so it's not like they are totally out of the sport.

Thanks for the update, just one last question why doesn't Pearson and co run a premiership side out of Monmore or Perry Barr? Presumbably it's just down to cost? TurnTwo 317 Posted December 20, 2018 Why would he do that when he makes a fortune running a low cost team at a lower level he’d be mad to go from earning a good income to throwing it all away

Thats a very good signing, young and improving rider, leaves 10.7 for the last three riders, do they go 2 x 2 and a 6+ or 1 x 2 pointer, and a couple of 4,s ?.
