Really dont understand how important "not changing your line up" is to so many...

It's the very essence of sport to try and improve...

The line ups change ad hoc somewhere virtually every day/night from Monday to Sunday anyway so what does it really matter?

I agree it does not really matter in speedway, but if you have rules/regulations they should be clear and concise, and adhered to. Even football have Transfer Windows. Perhaps speedway could do with a squad system, which has been discussed many times.

A lot of changes to teams are regularly made, for injuries, missing riders etc. a lot depends on who is available to fill those gaps when teams need a replacement. League Titles have been won, using R/R or guests.

I do hope Phil that the above comment doesn't backfire on you after today's meeting. A lot of BV fans seem to think that BV will now romp to big wins, could be closer than a lot think.

Enjoy the meeting.

I thought your last paragraph did matter to you.Or that's what I seem to get from some of your posts as to one of the reasons you don't attend so often now.Unless I am thinking of someone else:unsure:

But a lot of people weren’t happy and still go on about it now. By the way, it wasn’t just for the playoffs, he rode for us for 5 or 6 meetings prior to the playoffs as well, which, by current rules, would still be allowed.

No doubt we will see quite a few changes as the season progresses, with the play off system it's now not about the team you start with but the team you finish with.

Absolutely, unfortunately the BSPA created this situation  by allowing a temporary 28 day signing in the first place, so then had no choice but to allow Zagar to sign. I was always under the impression a temporary 28 day signing was a facility for a named rider. I guess as with all things speedway related, the rules aren’t that clear in the first place.

Never gonna get massive wins at BV, not really much home advantage (like Redcar). But BV a lot more likely to beat Peterborough and Sheffield at home and get league points away from home.

Continuing to repeat this particular comment does you no credit Phil

We know you have knowledge and contacts and many look to your input as an important gauge of fact or fiction in certain situations

Smug trolling is beneath you

Tbh he did a similar thing to me when discussing Southampton's 9-1 loss to Man Utd the other season on twitter. He just can't debate properly! Especially when put out a very well reasoned argument.

I've given up taking it seriously and, like today, just go to watch the Speedway..

When you can improve your team on a night by night basis, by signing a rider, and then never using him again as he is "injured" for the rest of the season, so you can bring in better, track specialist ringers, then worrying and arguing about team changes and "declared sevens" is very much a futile, wasted exercise...

A few years ago, two guests were being swapped at "half time" in the Play Offs So they could ride for BOTH teams..:D

Hardly the "declared septet" of either team I would suggest...;)

Enjoyed today, who won didnt really matter to me, the racing was good, several Polish top two division riders were on show, and the crowd decent...

Alll good for UK Speedway having good crowds and having higher level riders than just Div 2 Heat Leaders solely on show...:t:

I find it funny that the bspa have agreed to this change and yet fans can’t accept it. What’s not to accept?????

belle Vue haven’t cheated anything, so while the fans think we have I will be smug until this is all forgotten about

Which hasn't happened but the initial declaration and the start of the season has....

With this comment you have just confirmed that the regulation hasn't been enforced

the rule states league meeting NOT  league cup, so the ruling starts when the league starts, which is today. No rule broken. Get over it.

Pretty sure the rule says start of the season, is the league cup not part of the season? If you’re  going to quote rules make sure you get them correct or how can anyone take you seriously.
