I am sure that back in the 1960s and 70s the riders wore their team race jackets which I think is what should happen in both the Championship and Premiership Riders Championships.

Anybody have any idea at all when the Lions are riding at BP again?

No idea. We are only sure of two more home matches. The Jubilee Trophy home leg and the Play Off semi final. We can't arrange the latter until we know the results of the play off quarter finals. I expect the Jubilee Trophy matches will have to wait anyway.

Saturday 17th September is the next time the Lions will race at BP.

After arranging Cubs matches on 3rd & 10th to avoid Polish 2nd Division plays offs finals which would have ruled Nick Morris out if his club made the final but they didn’t.

They tried everything to get a fixture for the Bank Holiday weekend but non of the opposition teams we are due to face could raise a full team so declined to come. But it’s now looking likely there is going to be speedway at Leicester right upto 29th October
