How can you say a track is in the middle of nowhere when it is a five minute walk from a railway station that has an hourly or better service to and from London?

And right in the heart of Poole Town Centre

So back on track - I see the Speedway Star this week is reporting that Mr Basso is in fact a Poole asset and that Glasgow will probably have to pay a transfer fee. (probably a big fee as Matt's French Chateau is likely to be affected by Christmas cancellations after the French ban on British tourists from Saturday!)

Also Poole's delay in naming riders for 2022 is caused - in part - to not being able to include Basso in their plans. 2 riders due in town last Tuesday to sign the paperwork on their previously agreed verbal contract terms, so lets hope theres no hiccups there.;)

  • Thanks 1

Poole, in regards to CHAMPIONSHIP speedway, which is what we are discussing, as it is the CHAMPIONSHIP riders championship, is in the middle of nowhere

Maybe with the crowds that Poole regularly attract in the Championship, all tracks should be 'in the middle of nowhere'?!:cheers:

Still no riders announced.

Maybe the rent issue still not resolved. Can't see any other reason why with so many riders now announced elsewhere.

Think most of us near enough worked out it will be Worrall/King/Lawson/Kemp/Both Cooks - Now its who is the 2 pointer left Ablitt or Mulford.

Both are 17 born with 1 day of each other in March. Mulford scores looked better in N/L last season 8.32 GSA against Ablitt 6.77.

Maybe some posters on here have an idea who may at this stage be the better rider. I see Mulford also signed as K.Lynn number 8 so they must have seen something in the lad.

No one can deny that Poole have a great following. That’s got little to do with choosing a neutral venue very inconvenient for a lot of the teams involved however.

They know it isn't, they are just trolling to get a reaction.

Because believe it or not, and hear me out with this…… most people don’t live in London.

Most people don't live in Edinburgh or Glasgow either! They are just proving you wrong about saying it is in the middle of nowhere with actual facts, maybe you should be taking notes!

Why?

Cos it would be unfair on all other clubs if the same tracks had all the events.
