As suppose it wouldn't be too bad if we could get a 'Jason Lemon' type guest for home fixtures. Although its unfortunate we don't have a fit no.1,,, fortunately due to BWD's average situation we should be able to utilise that 8+ave. Think it'll be a while before any of the others lads will surpass that figure. No disrespect to them tho.

No offence to Jason Edwards, but surely they could have got a better guest at reserve?

James Sarjeant seems an obvious one!

This is now two of eleven sides using a permanent guest for their No1.

Can't be good for the credibility of the sport but I'm sure the promoters and riders love it.

Valid point,,, but IAF where are they gonna get other no.1's without shafting other team members?

If any are available!

exactly. because there are too few to go around which was obvious at the end of last season yet they allowed some teams to track three whilst others have none and two have non existent No1's. It all leads in one direction with an increasingly smaller pool of riders who constantly guest for opponents.

It's a team sport in name only now. Shame

When has the sport been credible in the last number of years.

Perhaps he was asked and said no?

It was  much worse in 1984 [Carter, Sigalos, Lee and Mauger (away only) - were pretty much absent all season - all were number ones]

After his performance at Glasgow, maybe Jason Edwards is the strongest option after all?

Paternity leave. His partner had gone into labour. Haven't heard the outcome, but I hope it was a good one.
