Enjoyed that tonight obviously winning against all odds helped that enjoyment but it takes two teams going at it on a proper racetrack to get that entertainment factor. Yeah wide bends short straights as you say not much in them. Both excellent tracks which rarely disappoint for entertainment. Great nights viewing no matter the result (other than cookie going for an ambulance)
MD 1,319 Posted August 21, 2022 (edited) Good meeting, good stream, great result. Redcar used the extensive track grade after ht8 to their advantage to turn the meeting back in their favour. Same extensive regrade after ht12 but didnt quite have the same effect. Use everything within your control to maximum effect as the home team. Wonder if anyone from Glasgow noticed? Asking for a friend. Edited August 21, 2022 by MD 3

To be fair, they do the same amount of track grading every meeting, don’t think it was tactical, but I get your point.
bringbackHalifax 238 Posted August 21, 2022 Johnny Swales likes to add 40 mins to every meeting. Spends an awful amount of time on track during meetings. Did it at Newcy as well . Needs to remember its riders on bikes the crowd pay for not ex riders on tractors. Even Hayley said on at least two occasions the tractor should be coming in any time now and five minutes later they were still out.
bringbackHalifax 238 Posted August 21, 2022 Havvy on comma made it fun tonight but 15 races starting at 7-30 and finishing at 9-50 is way too long

Even with all the grading, meetings usually are done well within 2 hours at Redcar. If you want a decent track throughout the meeting you have to work on it. Unfair criticism in my opinion. So just whether we are against Scunthorpe or Redcar. Yes well done to Glasgow on grabbing 2nd place. We Pirates just had too much of a blip & vital points escaped us. But now it's time to focus on the battle ahead and whoever we get in the quarter final better be ready for us as we are on a very strong run of unbeaten results. tyretrax 2,257 Posted August 22, 2022 Funny how people are saying that they couldn't understand Havvy but they all understood when he swore.

I thought Havvy brightened the co comms up as the main commentator got more stats wrong than right.

But professional it certainly isn’t.

And I also think that the people that run it like to think they are running a professional outfit, you can tell that by the investment in new kit, the great comms with customers etc. I don't think we'll be seeing Havvy on there again in a while
Jaizer 2,879 Posted August 22, 2022 Have tbh I quite enjoyed listening to havvy in the Comms. Refreshing hearing someone speak honestly and say what they think. And unlike some snowflakes out there not going to hang him out to dry for a few wee swearies 3
