Thanks.

Why are they not moving the cut off date this year like they do every other year?

See Berwick at Leicester has been moved from next Saturday (wonder if the development league cut off point has been moved)?

They might be worried about having to go into Nov again so haven't extended it! Not sure about development league tbh.

How can anyone justify the cut off date being extended with the summer we have had, I can't remember a summer with so few rain offs.

A “ref wanting the track dug up off” could possibly have been considered extenuating circumstances.

You have plenty of time to get all your meetings in.

Agreed.. And we had.. The track was ready. The crowd was in. The Riders were ready to go. The Polish sausages were cooking.. Then the ref instructed the destruction of the track.

Don’t think there’s a club in the country that had planned for that one.

But no need to risk missing the cut off by having league meetings so late in August.

It was a rearranged fixture being accommodated within the cut off period … What more do you expect of us? .. Leave all of August clear in case of Referee meltdowns?!

It cannot be that easy.

Mildenhall still have 2 meetings (as well as Kent).

These teams don't have championship teams also. Unbelievable that Berwick at Leicester has been punted due to a meeting that had a postponement in May.

No but no need to leave at it so late. I suspect that the referee has a different view of what happened!

Surely can't be that difficult to re arrange meetings. Have more meetings earlier in the season, sometimes it seems there are big gaps between meetings.

Mildenhall will finish their league fixtures today with a double header against Berwick & Plymouth could be a long day

Speedway track sat dormant in late August would have been a real good look..

As I’ve said. We were ready to go. Tom Brennan quoted in Speedway Star as saying when they arrived, all were happy to race. Then the Ref instructed a section to be dug up and relayed. We all know that doesn’t work 30 mins before tapes up.

Forget team loyalties.. How would you feel with that chain of events at your Club?

Mark out of pocket to the tune of £4K ish. Disgruntled fans. Slagging-off in social media. And denied the chance of rightful league position.

Mark should be reimbursed and cut-off date extended in my view.

Disagree with moving cut off dates for one track but points should have been given to Plymouth as they were prepared to give it a go.

Actually you are COMPLETELY WRONG on that comment.

Unlike Poole who started late' Plymouth if you check factually like I have just done have actually scheduled a TUESDAY Fixture every Tuesday since the last week in March!

That is a fact.

They ran 10 successive Tuesdays to early June.

Had a rain off, on 7th June, lost Newcastle meeting on day before due on 21st June, rained off Glasgow initially on 28th June, rained off Redcar on 16th August and then Glasgow on 23rd August. Clear evidence of torrential rain on the 16th August and 28th June - (wasn't there an Arson issue for one of those meetings??)

So their issues have rally been very late on leaving minimal chance to catch up.
