In 1989 there were 18 teams in the League yet Cup Final was done and dusted by 16th September. Poole had the first leg on the 12th and we finished the job on 16th. plus in them days you had qualifying rounds for the 4's and other stuff

10 Teams in the League and it might be finished by end of October.Tells it all.It will be interesting how many fans turn up for Berwick’s final matches in a few weeks time.

Example 12,315 of why an independent body or person should oversee such matters....

Rinse and Repeat...

Next AGM going to be the most important ever? :D

In 2019 the Lion's and Cubs between them rode 6 matches in September and 9 in October. 15 in all. So yes, nothing changes!

15 matches in two months...

A fair few quid to find to have attended them all....

There were 4 Saturdays in August.  Leicester ran meetings on 2 of them and on another Saturday was Cardiff.  That left 1 other possible Saturday for a meeting and my understanding is that Leicester tried to get a fixture on but there were no teams willing or able to visit us.

I don't no if allowed but there is other days in the month, I'm more on about how there is goin to be a rush to fit fixtures in as inevitable the weather gets worse(no dig at Leicester)

Now that the Plymouth v Poole leg of the play off quarter final has been postponed to the 20th September and we can't be sure who the other two semi finalists will be until after then, what are the odds on the second leg of the KOC semi final against Poole taking place at Poole in the 21st?

This does need to be tho a complete reset, fixtures so few and far between in all leagues is losing fans all the time

Same happens every year, but just seems to get worse every year. It's about time a cut off point meant a cut off point. Only 10 teams in league 9 home matches plus Cup to fit in over 5 months and it still fails.

In 2018 when Workington won the lot we were still trying to run a cup and league double header on the 32st October

Cut off isn't the problem, it's the weeks on end with no speedway tht should be filled with a fixture

Yea but if the cut was 31 August whatever, the fixtures would have to be completed to gain a league position,  then you have all of September to run play offs and final in last week of September,  but bspa  or whatever they are called can't see it is getting worse every year,  no wonder the sport is on its last legs

This is confirmed on the Lion's website this morning.

You have just suggested the actual rule in place. The cut off was 31st August.
