I think its common knowledge among the Sheffield fans that Adam hasn't been as good this season as last and you yourself said as much when you answered a critic by saying he was riding with a hand injury. Also note that between now, and the fixed dates for the play offs, and cup finals, the only Monday/Thursday neither team has a fixture is August 14th, date of British final.
