I believe this is the case, so there could be a better combo of riders for the final two that makes better use of the points available.

Andersen or Cook with Mountain would be my choice

I hope it's not either of them! They are not consistent enough for me!

How consistent do you expect a 5.5 point rider to be? They are what they are by definition

Agreed, Cook could easily stick a point on his average without my effort IMO. If his heads in the game all season (I hope it is) he could easily be around the 6.50-7.00 mark.

Andersen could easily do the same if you give him a home track that is difficult to pass on. He's been one of the worlds best at defending a lead for a long time. If he had Leicester as a home track he could easily put a point on his average.

When I say consistent I don't mean someone who will come out and beat the best one meeting and then get nothing the next!

Phil Herne and Finn Jensen from the early 1980's come easily to mind.

My only recollection of Finn Jensen was him consistently trapping first and being last within a lap or two!

I don't really remember any specific performances but I do remember him riding like a heat leader one week and then a reserve the next... you never really knew what you were going to get. Didn't he go on to be a successful engine tuner under the guise of Finn Rune Jensen?

Has had to become an expert at defending his position because he's painfully slow nowadays. Saw him at Peterborough a few times and it was sad to see him fall away so much

If he gets the 25% would be a good bet
