My guess for the team. Not so much my choice, but built with the rumours I've been hearing...

One thing doing the rumour mill is only three from last season so...

Kyle Howarth

Charles Wright

Dan Thompson

Broc Nicol

Kyle Newman (I had Kasper here then read the above post)

Jason Edwards

Jacob Hook

Rumours are that Kyle howarth is Plymouth bound?

I'd have riders like Tofty and Rowe back and keep Jenkins, but cant see it.

I cant see any team having three heat leaders unless they have two 2 pointers at reserve. 40.00 makes a big difference to build a great team.

Most teams will have 2 heat leaders then the rest filled with with 4-6 pointers with maybe a 2-3 rider at number 7, so at least my guess will be similar to other teams and always have 2 good reserve's.

Like I said, built on rumours, not who i'd choose. So whats your guess?

I’d try to have Jason start at reserve with a 2pointer tofty scunny bound

Thats what I've heard. Jason would start at reserve in my first guess.

if both Jenkins and Edwards are assets surely they'd be in. Both are capable of big scores but are so inconsistent. We had 3 inconsistent riders last year and it cost us

Another thing. The new 'bonus point' rule makes it a lot harder for Redcar. Other teams come here and can run us close so we need riders who can hold their average away, So riders like Nicols and Dan Thompson could be a gamble ( If they come here) Newman would be a great addition for away meetings, esp' if he's at reserve.

If the rumours are true about Kerr and Jenkins at Oxford. Howarth and Kemp to replace them. Kemp has always shown a liking for the Ecco Arena. Don't think he will be back at Wimborne Road.

I think you are correct, when you say only 3 from last years team, but I would be amazed if Erik Riss was not there. I also think, we will have 3 genuine heat leaders.

He said he doesn't think he will ride Champ specifically Redcar next season because of racing in Europe on the weekend. Was talked about on the Redcar bears talk, podcast YT thingy! Which I would recommend watching, it's really good! Didn't realise last week was the debut one! Sure they said Edwards on the next one.

Yes. He said travelling from Redcar on a Friday to ride in Poland on a Saturday was giving him 2 hours sleep before the polish meeting which was affecting his performance and sounded like he's giving Redcar a miss.

Wouldn't go anywhere near Jacob Hook. No offence to the lad, but why would you use up 4 points for a rider who averaged 2.78. Far better to go with Jake Mulford (who wouldn't score any less) but gives you 2 extra points to play with.

How about?

Redcar
Kyle Howarth 8.36
Charles Wright 7.40
Danyon Hume 5.68
Drew Kemp 5.20
Anders Rowe 5.08
Kyle Newman 4.29
Jason Edwards 3.80
Total 39.81
